    week 7 upsets
So, I'm in a contest where, among other things, I need to pick an UPSET of at least 3.5 points or more once a week. Well, I haven't been doing very well so far (2-4) so I could use some help. These are the choices:

Bengals (+3.5) @ Atlanta -- The bengals are seriously overrated
Jacksonville (+3.5) @ KC -- Jacksonville looked like crap last monday
Philly (+3.5) @ Tennessee -- Tennessee at home is hard to beat
Browns (+13) @ New Orleans -- Hahaha no, seriously
    Buffalo (+13) @ Baltimore -- see above
Arizona (+5.5) @ Seattle -- maybe if it rains?
Oakland (+4.5) @ Denver -- Oakland has burned me twice already this year

You'll notice that there arent any elligible upsets that are playing at home this week... Please, please someone give me some intelligent feedback!

According to www.nflweather.com there should be rain in the Jax/KC game, the AZ/Seattle game, and maybe the Oakland/Denver game.

          My three..
1.) Browns- there run d isnt as horrible as tampas, they wont let NO run all over them. There going to have to do it through the air, which puts then as a one demonsional team
2.)Philly- Phillys D is pretty solid, think itll be a close one I like the points here, they might matter.
3.) Cincy- more often that not play well as dogs, usually suck when their faves.

          Def dont with..

Ariz playing @ seattle is sooooo freaking tough with the 12th man, never mind a rookie qb.

I'm liking so far the Bungals, Philly, and Arizona, in no peticular order. I'm thinking about taking the Browns with the points for the reasons you stated above, JHart, but I'm not sure that they can stop even a one-dimensional passing game with their defense. More input, please!

Philly looks to be the best team in the best spot on this list..

arizona, Jacksonville, and cincy could win.. any given sunday I guess..

Alright... I'm going to drink on it. That seems to help sometimes.... At least I could say I was drunk when I made my picks and have an excuse.

Because of your nifty yellow letters and thumbs-up-smiley-face-guy, I think I'll at least take Arizona with the 5.5 points (I have to make 5 picks against the spread as well). What do you think, over or under on the Arizona/Seattle game at 41 points? I'm thinking under because of the weather.

Can't you take the Giants? They are dogs on MNF. They are +3 1/2 pts @ TheGreek. Also, the Eagles aren't +3 1/2 pt dogs.

I would love to take the Giants, but we're using the spreads in Tuesday's USA today, and its only 3 points not 3.5

I think your best best is Cincy. They are coming off a bye week so they have 2 weeks to prepare. I think they'll be ready on defense. The only question is whether or not they worked the kinks out on offense in the bye week. I would say Arizona but they have a rookie QB and Seattle plays pretty good at home.

Well, it seems like Atlanta has been one of those hot/cold teams this year, but Cincy's defense??

You know, the more I look at it, the more it seems like this could be a week where only one or two of these upsets will happen and the person who picks correctly (hopefully me) will get a serious advantage. But I feel like many people are going to pick Philly and I need to gain some ground by taking something slightly riskier...

Don't take Philly. The Titans defense if for real and they are gone give Kevin Kolb a beating. I wouldn't be surprised if Michael Vick is put in the game at some point. Cincy has been solid on defense but Atlanta is a beast on offense at home. Atlanta will score but the question is does Cincy show up on offense. Atlanta's defense can be had for some points.

Your arguments are sound, my friend. I just can't take Philly even if I wanted to because everyone else will... As a matter of fact, I should take Tennesee -3.5 in my regular picks just to be an a-hole.

Now, I've narrowed it down to either Arizona or Cincy. I know this has no factual basis, but I just HATE BETTING ON THE EFFING BUNGALS. But man was Seattle looking pretty good against the Bears last week. I have another 12 hours or so until my picks are due, so i think I'm going to sweat it out a little longer.
