Two weeks ago I was 4-1 and on top of the world, last week I gave a lot of it back but my spirit is not broken.
Let's see what we have week 7
Home Dogs
Carolina +3
Miami +3
West Coast Teams Traveling East for 1 PM Starts
San Francisco 49ers -3
Dogs that won outright that are favored the following week
Seattle Seahawks -5.5
Double Digit Favorites
Baltimore -13
New Orleans -13
Jeff Saragain Ratings
#1 Carolina is getting 4.88 points of value
#2 New England is getting 4.63 points of value
#3 Atlanta is getting 4.3 points of value
#4 Giants are getting 3.48 points of value
#5 Tampa is getting 3.26 points of value
#6 Cleveland is getting 3.03 points of value
#7 Arizona is getting 2.44 points of value
I don't yet have the spreads for the Titans/Eagles, Jax @ KC, or Oakland at Denver. I put down Sarigans ratings for Cleveland and Arizona because I think they are signfigant.
Thoughts.
Carolina is the NFL's lowest rated team, but San Fran also has a shitty offense, is a WC Team traveling East for a 1PM start blah blah blah. On paper I like to Cap Carolina but they aren't very good.
I'd like to fade Seattle and Arizona is coming off of a bye, I do think Arizona is getting value at +5.5 and the line should move up to +6 or maybe even +6.5
My friend is a die hard bills fan and he says the Ravens will murder them. He told me that 2 weeks ago.
I'd ideally lean Dallas -3, San Diego -3, and maybe even Minnesota +3, but these "underachieving teams" aren't getting a good rating... Isn't that the point that they are "due" to do better? Now think about this rhetorical question, what do Dallas, San Diego and Minnesota all have in common.... 3 teams picked to be good by pundits, but they all have WEAK HEAD COACHES. Do you see how important coaching is in the NFL? Dallas and Minnesota have the most talented teams in the NFC, but they are both fighting for their playoff lives mathamatically by week 7. Sad huh. Norv is good with X's and O's, but not so much leadership... Same with Wade but on defense. Dallas killed themselves two weeks ago with penalties, and then they do the same shit against Minnesota with Miles Austin leapfroggng Roy Williams. Was it worth it? Dallas is a bunch of showboat, talented, undisciplined lazy guys that think they could just show up and their lesser opponent will just lay down. I hate teams like that.
Pittsburgh looks like a gift... Is it a trap?
Washington isn't ranked so well but to their defense they have had a hard schedule against pretty good offenses/Quarterbacks... Indy, Green Bay, Dallas, Houston...
