I am beginning to think that we might see more overs in NFL games if there are going to be suspensions for helment to helment. I know it sounds kinda dumb, but if I was a coach I'd say let the reciver catch the ball and then make the tackle. If I have all the faith in the world that my offense can score than there should be no worries with getting beat. I'd rather let the recievers catch a ball than have my guy get suspended for a helment to helment play even if he was not intentionally meaning for helment contact to be made. The ESPN announcers last night on the pregame brought up a good point in that a defensive back might be gunning for the shoulder or upper chest but if the reciever makes a move just the slightest bit, the players will hit helment to helment. I just think that there will be higher scoring games in the weeks to come due to all this.
