Rumor has it the Texans are going to ship Steve Slaton and a 4th round pick to Washington for Haynesworth and 5th round pick. I hope this is true. Could help out both teams.

#10"In this regard, it's also impossible to rule out the Houston Texans. Their pass rush (and thus their pass defense) is lacking firepower, they run a 4-3 defense (Haynesworth's preferred attack), and Redskins coach Mike Shanahan and Texans coach Gary Kubiak have an extensive history of working together. With the Redskins thin at running back and Steve Slaton slipping out of the starting role in Houston, maybe a Haynesworth-for-Slaton-plus-a-pick deal could come together between now and Tuesday."

Jesus christ guy, that's not a fukkin rumor. That's called speculation, and thats what PFT does. You're dumb.Comment -

#11Waste of money. They could get a lot more for that kind of money. Get a couple of DB's and another O linemanComment -

As a Skins fan, I hope we get more out of shipping Haynesworth than a #2 RB and a 4th rounder. I'd rather not get Slaton and get a 2nd or 3rd rounder and a starting-caliber d-lineman. Probably too much to ask though...Comment -

#15Well, they need help in the secondary, linebacker position, and defensive line. The main problem with Houston's defense is that they are never really able to get pressure on the QB. They were able to do that against Manning, which is one of the reasons they won the game.
I look at it this way, if the defensive line can put pressure on the QB then it helps the secondary. With no pressure the QB is able to stand back there and complete passes all day. They lost their leader on defense, D. Ryans, and are very thin at that position.
As far as Haynesworth, I've never liked the guy. To me he comes across as an arrogant ****. The Texans have the offense to get it done this year, so it might be worth the risk bringing him in. The Texans must make the playoffs this year, they will be vilified by the locals if they don't make the playoffs because they aren't willing to make a trade.Comment -

#16That would be a steal of a trade for the texans. Slaton is their 3rd string RB, for a potential defensive MVP when motivated, which he would starting in his old division.Comment -

#18Don't think Haynesworth is the answer......Would rather trade for a solid cornerback. Plus Haynesworth isn't worth the money anymore.....too many problems with him and he's not motivated.Comment -

#25I called the Texans fan hotline and left a voicemail with this trade proposal. I asked for Rick Smith the GM to call me back to work out the details. I already made the trade in Madden so numbers wise it works out fine. I was pretty convincing on the voicemail so I'm pretty sure this trade is going to happen.Fair enough!
