Al Michaels has the redskins line
He get's so happy and animated when something good happens for the redskins and sounds deflated when the colts score.

As crazy out there this might sound, I think you might be on to something here. Al has shown in the past to cheer for random scores that brought the total to over. He even alludes to it, saying something like "I'm sure this garbage td made a lot of people very happy." This isn't that improbable.

he does, he really does. i have noticed this too. he will usually mention this kind of stuff in games that no one's watching anymore other than degenerate gamblers. he will also comment on backdoor covers if mempry serves me correctly. hell, i don't blame him though. he's been doing this for so long he's got to do something to make these games interesting.

norm macdonald had a little series of skits throughout his "ridiculous" album about a gambling sportscaster that's pretty damn funny.

yeah, I don't know if these guys cheer for teams they bet on or just teams they like/the home team/the media darling, but there's a lot of painfully biased commentary.

For years I thought Troy Aikman hated the Eagles and wondered why they let him call those games, but it seems he may just have hated McNabb from the way he called Washington at Philly this year.
