Thinking of a two team tease, on one leg I was going to tease Bears down to pick. Cutler supposed to go, though obviously one shot to the head and we are stuck with Collins, who was horrid last week. Bears LB Briggs hobbled, now questionable, not sure what the impact would be. Of course, Seahawks have been complete doormat on road. I am figuring that if Cutler goes out, than Bears rely on run...problem there is run D is one of Seattle's strengths. I think there is risk here on Chi side, given Cutler's tenuous state. If he goes the distance, I think he lights up Seattle secondary. Welcome some opinions, insights on this game.

#2I think you are overthinking this a little too much... Bears have a history of demolishing weak opponents. As you mentionned, Seattle is a terrible road team. I'd be very surprised if Cutler gets reinjured. Bears will win and most likely cover the spread.Comment -

#4No, seahawks are incredibly bad on the road for years, then add in an early game in the east coast time. They are terrible and got their asses handed to them in STL. I already locked in bears -6.5 huge. It's going to be a route.Comment -

#5Line down to a low 6, basically -5.5. Strange. Cutler is ready to go. One correction though, if he goes down it will be Caleb Hanie first, not Todd Collins.
Briggs obviously is an impact player. Bears have capable backups in Roach and Iwuh, but they will certainly miss Briggs if he can't go.
-5.5 certainly looks like a pretty good value.Comment -

#6Bears should roll even if they roll out a backup QB. Seahawks are rebuilding and bad on the road, Chicago D is otherwise healthy.Comment -

#12Here are Seattle's split stats for the year, see if you can guess which is home and which is away:
A) 256 yards offense, 3.3 ypc, 6.69 ypa, 390 yards allowed, 3.45 ypc allowed, 6.56 ypa allowed
B) 297 yards offense, 3.93 ypc, 5.88 ypa, 358 yards allowed, 2.32 ypc allowed, 7.43 ypa allowed
Strangely enough, team A is the home version of the Seahawks. Stranger still is the fact that the home version is outscoring the road version by 20 points a game and the there's a 13 point different between home and away on defense. The only thing that accounts for this huge point differential is mistakes (penalties/turnovers or lack of causing turnovers) on both sides of the ball. Luckily for Seattle, Chicago is just fair to middlin' in regards to their own mistakes. I think Chicago still pulls out the victory, just not by 7. I'm taking Seattle plus the points here, but feel free to convince me otherwise.Comment -

#14If you bet on the seahawks on the road you might as well just donate the money to charity so at least it went to a good cause. They are not only god awful on the road but have been one of, if not THE shittiest team ATS after a bye the last decade. Chicago isn't east coast but it's a long travel from seattle for a 1pm game.Comment -

#15I thought about teasing this down to a pick too...but... just too risky with cutler coming off a concussion. Bears SHOULD win....but... I dunno... not my favorite pick for a teaser this week. Seahawks on the road however may be the best argument for betting on Chicago thoughComment -

#18Seattle is going to suprise some folks this week IMO! The public is sold on the fact that they are a weak road team, Branch just got sent to NE & it looks as though they won't get anything on the ground in Chicago... But Pete will have them ready after a Bye with a game plan that'll play to their advantage and expose the Bears a bit... like NY on Sunday Night Football.
** Also the public is betting Chicago as far as I can tell and the line has gone from 7 to 6 ....
