    Randy Moss - The solution
Thoughts from the just announced trade:

    1. NE will lose plenty in 2010 without him stretching the field taking 2 defenders with him. He would NOT have been with them in 2011, but it's tiring to see the Pats stockpile picks while losing focus in the current year (Seymour '09, Moss '10).

    2. Minny has just found a way to get a "tired" Farve excited. That is good for Minny. Teams should still try to pressure Farve, who must play 13 in a row now, but will do so at the risk of single coverage on a WR who plays better when not in cold conditions!

NE solution: OVERTRADE NOW, because you have extra picks in rounds 1,2,3, and 4. USE THEM, because the 2011 season may be in jeopardy anyway.

2nd best solution: Trade a #2 and a #3 for Jackson of SD. Jackson has talent, is eligible in week 7, and fits. Issue: Contract demands and NE hates this sort of thing.

BEST SOLUTION: Trade for LEE EVANS! Buffalo isn't using him correctly and they are going nowhere in '10. Maybe they can get Evans for the same #2 and #3, but I'd be willing to trade the lower of the #1's for him in a win-win situation. Buffalo gets to build its roster while not losing much anyway this year and NE gets a quality WR who is not only under contract, but is a team player all the way!!!!

Will this happen? No. Should it? Absolutely!

As a Pats fan, I would LOVE to see them sign Jackson, assuming they can work out a reasonable contract.

Its frustrating to see Moss go, especially for a 3rd rounder, but he was clearly a distraction in the locker room. It was a win-win for everyone, but it will be tough to realize that until the Pats first couple games without him

Belichick would not have made this move unless he had something in the works.

Agree on not liking Moss trade, but to waste a 2nd and 3rd on Jackson or a 1st on Evans is insane. Jackson is a DUI away from a ban and Evans has gone into atrophy in Buffalo. The load of picks they have will still be the same, regardless of a lockout. If the sides agree to rookie wage scale, NE may end up in an even better situation.

If New England stands "Pat", it puts them further away from a possible super bowl run this year. Considering no team in the NFL looks dominant, why waste this opportunity?

NE has been shifting to a lot of Coryell concepts in their passing game. Its been obvious, at least to me, that they were trying to phase out Moss. He might be the best deep ball receiver ever, but at the same time that doesn't necessarily make the offense efficient.

NE is just going back to playing good defense, and an offense that controls the ball and the clock, not big plays.
[B][B]They key isn't getting rich quick. The key is getting rich slowly, and enjoying it.
