The more winners than losers thread - nfl edition

Good morning everyone. As I mentioned in my NCAA thread, I am far from a professional capper. I do this for fun, but at the end of the season I somehow end up picking more winners than losers. I do not have a scientific formula...I do a lot of research and a lot of reading, but in the end I go with my gut.

One of the biggest reasons I started to post my picks in these forums is so I will stay focused. In the past if I was up big in a day, I'd bet my days winnings on one game...sometimes it worked out, sometimes it didn't. By posting my picks, I feel I will stay more focused and more disciplined, especially if people start to tail me. I bet the same amount on every game...when I make a pick, it's after I have done days of research...looking at line movement, trends, "expert" analysis, so I feel they are all good picks, otherwise I wouldn't be betting it.

So, if you decide to tail me, good luck. If you have any questions, I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Now that I have bored all of you, here are my picks for week 4 of the NFL season. Lots of chalk here, but like they say, the cream always rises to the top. BOL to all!!!

Looking for a big week here. Lot's of chalk which is always scary, but I just don't see these teams not covering. Good luck to everyone.

Needless to say Mason Crosby will not be on my x-mas card list this year...two missed FG's, one as time expired in regulation prevented me from showing a profit for the day. NFL and NCAAF combined show a small profit for the week.

BOL if you are betting tonights game...me, I really have no opinion on this one.

I now have an opinion...I like the JETS tonight. I think Favre tries to force the ball to Moss and ends up throwing a few picks and the Jets win this one rather easily.

Good morning everyone. I don't normally do this, but there is only 1 game on today's card that I really like, so instead of of picking 3 or 4 games just to pick them, I'm going with what I feel is the best game on the board...let's hope I'm right. BOL to everyone this week.

Good morning all...some of you may be wondering why I bother posting my picks. I know, I cannot pick my ass...the reason I do it though is I feel like I stay focused and more disciplined when it comes to bankroll. I know my record does not reflect it, but I do put a lot of time into my picks each week. I don't expect anyone to be tailing me at this point, but I will tell you, once I get hot, I get RED hot. I'm talking 10 in a row and 14 out of 15...granted I have yet to do that this year, but I feel it's close. Just think, my records in both NCAAF and NFL are right around .500 now...if I can put together a streak soon, I'll be in the .650 range and that will be pretty damn good.

I really like these picks today and I am leaning towards another one later on but the line just jumped a 1/2 point and want to to wait to see if it goes back down. If I do decide to play that, it will be posted long before kickoff.

Another stellar weekend (enter sarcasm) At this point, you may want to go opposite of what I pick...hell, I may go opposite.

For what it's worth, I like the Cowboys a lot tonight. Redskins and Eagles both lost yesterday so if they win this game, they are only 1 game in the loss column behind everyone in their division. I think that and Monday night are enough to get this very talented Dallas team out of their season long funk. I see Dallas winning this one by double digits...35-17.
