The Rams are bringing Al Saunders back to St. Louis.
Saunders, a Rams assistant coach in 1999 and 2000, has been hired as coach Scott Linehan’s offensive coordinator.
Saunders replaces Greg Olson, who is bound for Tampa Bay as quarterbacks coach after two years with the Rams.
Olson was relieved of his OC duties in the wake of the Rams' 3-13 finish.
Saunders became available Saturday, when he was let go by the Washington Redskins.
Linehan also considered Cincinnati quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese and Atlanta offensive coordinator Hue Jackson before settling on Saunders.
