I really like pitts, and a slight lean to GB. But you did get solid advice on the Don't tease up negative pt teams.

I'm looking at it from the standpoint that, after the heartbreaking loss last weekend, the Saints are going to come out and obliterate what very well could be the worst team in the NFL. Carolina is a mess right now, and they are starting a rookie QB. If this was in Carolina, I wouldn't tease NO down, but I just don't see the Saints letting up this week at all. They are not going to lose 2 home games in a row to division rivals, especially when 2 other teams in their division have the same record.
Also, the tease from 15 to 5 is huge... it goes from essentially a 3 score play to a 1 TD play.Comment -

#38Green Bay -5.5 vs Lions, in GB
Pittsburgh +10 vs Ravens, in Pit
Saints -5 vs Panthers, in NO
Risking $10, to win $8.70
WOW that was a painful week. Green Bay losing their double digit lead, New Orleans fumbling twice deep inside Carolina territory, including at the 1. Awful luck there. Really wishing I had gone for the Jets lol.
Early looks for next week-
Green Bay +8.5
NO +2
KC +19/Indy +1
Denver +17.5
STL/Det Over 32.5
Jax/Buf Over 31
Those are lines that jumped out to me, will obviously continue to look though. Any thoughts?

#40This seems like a fairly tough week to cap. Nothing really sticking out to me as "easy" wins. I'm not a huge fan of going with Overs, but I figure with the lines we're being given, it might be worth a shot.
Leans for this week, not locked in yet though-
Chicago Bears/Carolina Panthers- Over 23 How the hell can they not score 23 combined???
St Louis Rams/Detroit Lions- Over 33 2 very young, very explosive offenses. Don't really want to pick a winner here, although I like the Lions, I just think it's too much of a toss-up
KC Chiefs/Indianapolis Colts- Over 35.5 A dominant Colts offense against a great Chiefs run game going against a HORRENDOUS Colts defense. This game should end with the Colts around 24-28, Chiefs at AT LEAST 14.
Other options- GB +7.5, Saints +3, TEN +17.5, Min +14.5Comment -

#43Well, this should be interesting-
Jax/Buf OVER 31.5
Rams/Lions OVER 33.5
Bears/Panthers OVER 23
Risking $10 to win $9.09. Since only 1 game is on a whole number, I'm going with Ties Lose today. Hopefully this hits
I usually don't like betting on bad teams, but I was not confident in any of the other lines.
Ochro- I like all 3 of those, I just don't have enough confidence in GB to bet them this week with their injury and discipline problems. I think they win easily thoughComment -

Rams/Lions OVER 33.5
Bears/Panthers OVER 23
Big win today, although the Bears/Panthers gave me a scare. 20 points in the first quarter, then 3 until 5 mins left? Crazy.
Rolling $19.09 into next weeks games.... hopefully there are some good games.

#46Thanks borednaz. Hope you're doing well with your bets.
Early leans for this weekend-
Lions +21 (@ NYG)- Lions have looked surprisingly good this year, losing A LOT of close games, and absolutely dismantling the Rams last week. Should have beaten the Bears, almost got the Packers, and hung in there with the Vikings. I'm liking their chances to put up 14-21 points on this Giants D, and don't think the Giants can win by 3 TDs. Low double digits at best, although this is my upset pick of the week.
Pitt -5 (vs Cle)- Colt McCoy is starting. In Pittsburgh. May God have mercy on his soul.
Oak +17 (@ SF)- We all know how badly SF has underperformed this year, looking absolutely awful. Oakland has played pretty well. Not much a trip for Oakland, so they should be well-rested for this game.
Indianapolis +7 (@ Was)- Colts will come out throwing this week, against a mediocre Redskins D. It took 2 tight ends getting injured and a concussion for Rodgers to keep the Redskins in last week, don't expect the same against the Colts.
Titans +7.5 (@ Jax)- Chris Johnson has his "breakout" game this week. 200 all-purpose yards and a big win for the Titans.
Really liking Pit, Det, Indy, and Ten so far. Have to narrow it down to 3 of those. Pit is a must play IMOComment -

#47Can you take any different teams? I'm not crazy about any of the plays listed. Shouldn't Pitts be -3 1/2 if you're getting 10?
Teams I like are Ravens +12 1/2, Falcons +12 1/2, Cowboys +11 1/2Comment -

#48Yeah, definitely, those were just games/numbers that popped out to me. Pitt is still -15 on 5Dimes.
I like the Baltimore pick, but as a Pats fan, I have a tough time betting on their games (for or against them). I like the Falcons pick though, and the Cowboys should be good too. Will look into those today. Thanks. Any other games stick out to you?

#49I agree about the Lions. They're getting too many points as it is, and teasing them up should be a good play.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#50Okay, so after looking at the games and some suggestions, I'm rolling with-
Pittsburgh -5
Detroit Lions/New York Giants OVER 34
San Diego/St Louis OVER 35
Pittsburgh should easily win by 14 or more, and I don't think Cleveland scores more than 14. Pitt should be good for at least 20, so this seems like a strong play.
2 very explosive offenses. Lions may be without Calvin Johnson, which is keeping me from picking them at +22. If the Lions show up, they very well could win this game. And if they don't, the Giants could easily blow them out. Either way, points will be scored. I think the Giants come close to this, and the Lions should be able to put a score or 2 up to cover, and if Johnson plays, might hit low-20s.
San Diego has averaged 28 ppg this year, and is giving up 27.7 ppg on the road. St Louis should be good for 10-14, and San Diego might clear this over on their own.
Risking $19.09 to win $16.60

Big win today. Looking at Steelers +7.5 @ Miami, Ravens -4 vs Bills, and Pats +12.5 @ San Diego. Might lock that in tonight to guard against line movement, I don't see the Steelers and Pats lines staying where they are.

#55The only one I question is Pitts. But I suppose anytime you can take them in a marginal spot +7.5 it's a good thing. Cleveland looks like the better pick. +13 already against a marginal NO. I don't see them getting shut out by 23.Comment -

#56Why tease Pitts and Balt? They don't need the points, they both probably blow out in week 7. Take the ML instead.
Pats tease looks good. Otherwise, tons of awesome dogs to tease this week: Vikings, Rams, Bengals, maybe Redskins?Comment -

Navy +17I like all 3 of those. I think MSU wins big, and Oregon should put up AT LEAST 42 on their own, so that looks good. Don't know anything about Navy, but a lot of ppl in the CFB forum think they have a shot of winning straight up, so +17 is always good.
