We have Jack Del Rio at 3/1 to be the first head coach to be fired. He's followed by John Fox and Eric Mangini at 4/1 and Mike Singletary at 11/2. Thoughts?

i used to live in jacksonville jack del rio is a good coach .. maybe not the greatest but he is good. Out of all those picks i think Mangini is the first to go.Comment -
Sorry Kenard, but Del Rio is not a good coach. Now that being said, he won't be the first coach fired this year. He was awarded a rediculous contract for winning the playoff game in Pittsburg a few years ago & the franchise won't want to eat that cash. Del Rio's time in Jax is coming to an end, but unfortunately it won't be until the end of the season.Comment -
Do you guys watch football or do you skim through it? Mangini is not getting fired nor has done anything to warrant getting fired. Lost to a 2-1 Buccaneers team by 3, 3-0 Chiefs team by 2, and a 2-1 Ravens team by 7. Love the Browns this week ML vs. the Bengals.Comment -

John Fox has been my pick all season. He's a decent coach, but Carolina is ready to move on to Cowher. But he probably finishes out the season unless he wants an early vacation. I'm not really sure how this stuff works. I know it's more about the owner than the coach as far as midseason firing goes.
No other coach has coached themselves out of a job just yet. Singletary will turn this thing around, no worries there. Del Rio will get this club back to .500, they've just been in some tough spots with those two ugly losses. Mangini is more curious to me, I can't really get inside Holmgren's head here, but the fact that he kept Mangini on says that he'll go with him and it'll have to get ugly to fire him.Comment -
This prop isn't actually bettable, unless a book picks up the odds. We created it here to stir conversation and give the books an interesting prop. I agree with Mangini coaching well this year, but Holmgren didn't hire him so he is toast. Singletary will get a full season. Maybe Fox, too, so they can get the top pick. But Del Rio does seem to be the best choice here.Comment -

I can't believe the 49ers will ever relocate. Maybe they could split a home game over to LA, kinda like Buffalo does with Toronto?
I could kinda see the Jags relocating, if any NFL team is going to relocate any time soon. I'm not really sure what cities would be in the running. LA is always talked about, but they just aren't an NFL city anymore. Orlando has been talked about, as well as London. There just don't seem to be any good options.
As for 2011 coaching hires, I expect Cowher and Gruden's name to get thrown around. But I'm sure some assistant coaches currently coaching will emerge as this season progresses. It's very early to tell right now. But I could see Gruden as being an interesting fit for the Jags.Comment -
