there for sure has in college, not sure about the nfl. i remember reading about an old old team it was either michigan or nebraska back in like early 1900-1920 they had like 2 opponents never cross the 50 and a few more never made it past opponent 30 yrd line, they shut out every opponent they had that year, not to be scored on. epic, but way different game than what is played nowadays.

September 23, 1979 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21, Los Angeles Rams 6

The Buc's defense shut down the Rams and I don't think they crossed the 50 yard line on offense. They scored a TD from a pick 6.

I believe the mud slop game between Pittsburgh and Miami a few years ago had Miami cross once I believe. It was the lowest scoring game in NFL history 3-0. Awful game to watch.

I remember that game well Mac... one of the most painful things I ever had the pleasure of watching... if you like ugly football that was ur game... not mine though...
