NYJ @ MIA: Why the under and Jets will hit
Both teams are going to rely on a run first, time consuming offense tonight (you already knew that). While I see the Jets being able to move the ball a bit better than the Fish, the Jets have shown a tendency to stall out on drives this year (converting one 3rd down at a 27% clip), and the Dolphins do a pretty good job of not breaking and holding opponents near the end zone to FGs. So the Jets will have long drives, mostly resulting in FGs. On the other side of the ball, I look for the Dolphins to just be fairly inept against the Jets D. They're offense is much less balanced than the Jets and relying solely on the rush against a defense that is allowing 2 yards per carry. I think the Fish might get lucky once for a long play action TD but that's about it. So Jets = Long drives that stall to FGs for the most part and the Fins = Difficult time moving the ball. I see this one going 16-10 in favor of the Jets. Flame away.

It seems to me that depending on which way you lean, the combination is either Jets and under, or Miami and over. I am on the opposite side of you and playing Miami and the Over, but if I am wrong, then I am glad you will cash my friend, because I believe your analysis is spot on regarding what needs to happen for the Jets to win (which is basically the game going under). Good luck and enjoy the game.

Thanks for the praise, bud. I'm not a fan of either team but my initial lean was NYJ. This being my first foray into handicapping, I'm hoping that I didn't just bias my lean in my mind and find a way to support. Thanks though and BOL to ya for the season, just not tonight!
