Not only were they a joke with Dixon but they just got a whole lot worse now with Dixon going out.
Either Leftwich the guy they released or Batch a 4th string at best to start this week
That defense is nothing to mess around with though.

Charlie Batch would have given Pittsburgh the best chance to win in the first place. If Leftwich starts at Tampa, I can approximate with great confidence that the Steelers' chance of winning diminishes by nearly 1/3. Physical limitations coupled with age have relegated Batch to his spot, 4th on the depth chart, but don't think that progressively going down that list means that each option after the next is worse; Dixon was left in against Tennessee to operate a running package to keep the offense in decent field position.
Batch knows this offense well and is a calm, and relatively fearless dude. He can take hits and is adept at maneuvering in the pocket.
