Martz looking like a genius. This should be a great battle. Expect lots of passing. Probably comes down to turnovers.

Bears offer excellent value at +3.
That being said, the Packers are tough on D and Cutler struggled tremendously against Capers' version of 3-4

Doesn't Dallas run a 3-4 defense? Cutler did struggle against GB last season, but that included his very first game as a Bear. More importantly, the Bears have a much different offense this season under Martz and Cutler is much more confident now.

With Martz/Cutler the Bears should be favored... This is not a team led by Avellini, Evans, Tomszak, Kramer, Miller, Grossman or any of the other bust out bears qb's from the bears past! If they had a good offensive line they would be very dangerous...

The offensive line did improve drastically as the game progressed. Cutler took his licks early on, but after that, they kept the Dallas D at bay. Its ironic how much the line improved after Chris Williams exited the game w/ a hamstring injury. If you recall, he was beaten like a drum in the pre-season and early on in the regular season.

Another wasted pick by Jerry Angelo a few years ago...and a 1st rder at that... I am not sure the line improved that much...just that Cutler was releasing within 2-3 seconds... I would say slightly but not much after the half... give Cultler/martz the credit more than the line...

Cutler is definitely looking like the real deal. More importantly, the Bears defense is looking like they mean it.
The Packers are getting overrated, coming of an expected drubbing of the pathetic Bills @ home.
Bears should be getting more respect after going down to favored Dallas and coming away with a quality win.

I'm a lifelong Bears fan, I'm not sold yet. However even if they lose to GB while looking good then I will think they are legit.
No way I'd put any bets on this one though.

Been a Bears fan since '82 myself so I know and can appreciate your skeptism. What's working in the Bears favor heading into this game is their D's ability to take away a teams stregth. Last week it was limiting Best and this week it was taking away the 3 headed monster of a Dallas running game. Ryan Grant is out, thus I see them focusing more on the pass. Also, last year they barely lost to the Packers 2X and they had a shi t offensive game plan and many injuries on the defensive front. I see a different result here. Martz has and will pay dividends in this game.
Sharp $ will be on the Bears this week. Getting points at home in a divisional game. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Unless they come out in week 1 playing the way they played the Lions for crying out loud at home. They should have lost that game not to mention a what was it a 9 pt favorite?

I hear what you are saying and hope you are right. Grant being out is huge though.
I know the preseason doesn't matter much, but they looked terrible. I think Martz simplified things a bit for the WRs which helped. Hester is a great dude, but I think he was having lots of trouble learning the playbook.

I think both defenses are gone look to take the run away. So it's gone come down to which team can pass and defend the pass better. Greenbay has a better passing game and pass rush. So Green Bay wins.

Really? This much love for the Bears already? 2-0? C'mon, man.. Overreaction to the Bears quick start. The Pack is a Super Bowl contending team. Possible play of the year material shit goin on here. (And I'm from Chicago)

Seems like GB should win this game to me. Both teams are somewhat one-dimensional on offense as neither are great running teams. The problem for the Bears is the packers have an above average pass defense (10th in '09, 3rd in '10) and the Bears pass defense is just average (15 in '09, 14 in '10). With that edge for GB and that Bears weak o-line I think GB will win a close one.
I wouldn't bet on this spread, I think the line is just about right.

Frankly, who have the Bears played? A paper-thin Lions defense at home and a Cowboys team even more dysfunctional than the Bears are. I said it in Week 1, and I'll say it again: you don't have to beat the Bears, if you limit your own mistakes the Bears can beat themselves.
