Hedging a 5 team underdog parley (strategy)
I placed a very small bet 5 team parlay all on ML underdogs on Sunday
KC, Cinn, Pitt, NYJ, & SF
    Obviously the first four hit......

SF is the monday night game.
The total odds i have are +11045

Would you hedge and how would you do it?

Hmmm after doing the math.... if i hedge i can only either win 50% of the bet or 25%
        based upon NO -200

How much do you have on it!!!! If you have $100 on it that would be absolutely sick. Man that is awesome. Good luck with it. I would definitely be hedging depending on the amount you have riding on it.

You do realize that if you hedge you must use the ML, right? Don't get fancy and give up points with the Saints.

I would definitely hedge, especially since you took the ML for an underdog against the Saints. I don't know why you're embarrassed to say what you risked. Even if it was 5 bucks, the payout must be huge.

The payout amount is really important for how much you should bet on the hedge. You can always parlay the Saints ML with something for week 3, which you can then hedge again, or just stick with it if you like what else you parlay it with.

I'm actually in a similar situation and was looking for feedback. I'll post another thread.

If you can find the Saints at -4, then you can always do a 7 point teaser to get them to +3, and potentially hit both bets. The catch is that you'd have to pick a week 3 pick to tease too, unless you want to play the tonight's total.

I had $5 on it.... it was paying $550 or something like that if the niners would have won.

Even if i put $250 on the saints to win ML i would only gain $100-$120
I thought the $550 straight was the better option unfortunetly the niners gave the game away with FOUR turnovers.
