I honestly thought that was a catch, and he was down before he fumbled. Why wouldn't the refs call it and catch and a fumble so they could've reviewed it? This is the NFC Championship game here.

If it was a catch, it would have to be a fumble - Plax was never touched while he was on the ground.

Yes, that's true. I thought it appeared the ball was out before Plax's knee touched, but it could have gone either way.

Yeah, exactly, it definitely could have gone either way. I thought it was stupid on the refs part to call it incomplete though, because an incompletion cannot be challenged. A catch and a fumble can be challenged. Since it was under 2 min, the refs should've just called it a fumble, and put it under booth review for the sake of getting the call 100% right in the NFC Championship, ya know?
