Taking the Jets tonight

Baltimore's secondary with Landry Carr and Washington is a joke. Sanchez isn't good but the Rex knows how to exploit these guys with the screen game and short routs where Sanchez isn't forced to do much. Tomlinson should also be key here in the passing game, Terrell Suggs cannot contain LT in the flats. This Ravens defense isn't the same without their best player. I can't see them winning on the road without Reed. Plus an offense that really hasn't had the chance to gel yet, we don't know what we're going to see from Boldin and Housh- I think both will do well but they might not be in sync with Flacco for all 4 quarters which is what is needed for Baltimore to win this game.

Not sure, I think if I had to chose I would take the OVER too NC. But the problem there is that I think both teams will have like a 8 minute scoring drive down the field because of how much they run the ball and utilize the screen game, the clock won't stop much. I think the Ravens offense can really do some damage but I haven't seen anything from this new dynamic yet for me to bank on them doing anything against the best defense in the league.

they could blitz sanchez all they want, the jets are going to run ALOT more than they pass... and when they do pass, the jets offense is gonna be pretty similar to the cowboys offense last night in regards to throwing short routes like screens and slants...

This is a toughie. Jets are missing a lot of guys. Still unsold on Sanchez making the jump, and if all they're gonna do is run and throw short, Ravens will contain them.

tough game to call, but i like your logic goat and am also going to put in a small play on jets. game will be won in trenches. mangold and the guards are going to have to keep ngata in check and ravens will have to do the same for jenkins.

sanchez is not a star, but flacco isn't much better.

Think Defensive play here....Ravens front 7 are good enough to take this away with zone blitz etc...drop the DL's into coverage for a pick or two....takes away the screen to LT in the flats etc. The only points the Jets will grab outside the red zone will come if Sanchez can hit Braylon Edwards deep. Call me crazy but I see Ray Rice having a pretty good night tonight.

Yes this is good analysis. The Ravens gave up a lot of big plays last year and without Reed that might continue tonight but it is raining so chances taken will be limited.
