Are NFL handicappers the best of the best?

Keep in mind that the ones who set the lines adjust them for things like public perception. They approach it a little bit differently than those trying to expose it.

I was extrapolating from the fact you mention and arriving at they must be the kingpins of handicapping. Perhaps, it was hasty.
