Fading the Public

Hi Everyone

I am new around here but have enjoyed reading the threads and getting excited to be betting the NFL season.

I saw these numbers about how bets are coming into the online sportsbooks and thought it would be interesting to look at these public picks. I know this is not some novel idea but wanted to see everyone's thoughts on this week's picks. I am going to try to track this each week and see how it works out

The picks in bold are being picked by the public at a rate of 70% or higher.


83% - Miami Dolphins (-3) @ Buffalo Bills
74% - Indianapolis Colts (-1) @ Houston Texans
Oakland Raiders @ 74% - Tennessee Titans (-6)
88% - Green Bay Packers (-3) @ Philadelphia Eagles
83% - San Francisco 49ers (-3) @ Seattle Seahawks
76% - San Diego Chargers (-4.5) @ Kansas City Chiefs
70% - Baltimore Ravens (+1.5) @ New York Jets

Numbers as of Friday morning.

I don't like seeing ones I bet being picked at such high rates!

Jaks I'm with you. I'm tired of playing the points, only to get denied by 1/2 a point. The ML always contains to much juice and your stuck making a slim profit to stay winning or take say 3 out of 5 wins. Either way your throwing away money. What if you took these results and made say a teaser out of fading the public. +7-9 points should suffice on most games.

Love the 9ers and Fins. As a cowboys fan I would never bet against those eagles. That defense could cause some problems for rodgers.
