I like the 49ers something like 27-10 and maybe I'm looking at it all wrong, but if it looks to me like they are going to win by more than 15 points and the line is -3....something is off here.

The 49ers will run all over that weak run defense. i see 27- 13. 49er defense will dominate those crap py recievers and they will shut down the run. This one is too easy. Watch the rookie offensive lineman IUPATI open up Huge holes for Frank Gore. The only reason they only score 27 is because the 49er offense will be conservative. Look for that defense to get 3 or 4 turnovers

That is exactly my question....if we all think Vegas is off by that much then WHY is the line where it is? Makes me think I am getting trapped or missing something.

btw...on some sportsbooks the bets are coming in on Seattle and giving more favorable VIG to the 49ers...just confuses me more, but I hope I can make some cash off of other people's mistakes.

I'm not sure what the point is to this comment. 100% of people who bet games think the line is off. That's why they are betting the game. The people who are betting on Seattle think the line is off, and the people betting on SF think the line is off. Do you ever bet games where you think the line is exactly right on?

Last year week 13, SF came to Sea as a 1 point favorite and lost by 3. You think that deserves a line of over -10 in week 1 the following year?

Seahawks start a new season under Pete Carroll... In all honesty if the line keeps climbing I'd probably take a chance on Seattle... It wasn't so long ago that Seattle was one of the toughest venues to play in

This line is off somewhat. Niners have a great D, a good run game but questions still remain about Smith's ability to air it out. This is more questionable week 1 on the road in a tough stadium. I went to this game last year and it was complete madness in Seattle, and almost got beat up several times for even sporting my Niner gear. San Fran should win this game by 10 easily though. I think the line reflects a lot of mistrust in Smith, which I still personally have myself despite being a fan

Yeah, I think Mike Williams will be a beast this year. Theres a reason why they released TJ. And I feel Forsett will play a much bigger role this year as well.

But regardless I like the SF -3. When it comes down to it SF is just the better team. I think the Under 37 might even look better. SF comes into the season with a very promising Defense and you can expect them to stay true to the run.

Seahawks won the game in Seattle last year by a last second field goal, but San Fran gave it to them. They had many opportunities to shut the door, blow them out be didn't. I can't the same thing happening here.

No I think it's fishy that the line came out at -1. Seattle might be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year. The 49ers are the best up coming team in the NFL. Opening line just doesn't make sense but I'm not an odds maker.

Seattle is a much better team at home than on the road.
Add the fact that this is a season opener
and a new coach.

If the game was in San Francisco in November, 49ers would roll. Not this Sunday.

Stay away or Seattle is the play.

If anyone has read the thread "fading the public" it definitely seems like the vast majority of people are on the 9ers...9ers run game against weak sh*thawks run defence screams 9ers roll but on the other hand, its week 1 and fading the public is usually a sharp play..to sum it up i'd reccommend staying away
