Thinking about laying 4 figs on this one...

I just don't see the super bowl champs disappointing their fans at at home in the SEASON OPENER not only for the Saints but for the entire NFL season as well.

Not to mention this will be broadcast on national television. What better way to start off the season and make a statement other than whopping the vikings asses for all to see.

Farve won't be as sharp as last year no Sidney rice and lack of training camp and on top of that the saints are good against the run so I don't think ad will have a great game. Saints -4.5 all day for me

I'd tease it down 2 points to be safe but the Vikings pass defense is suspect with only 3 healthy CB on the roster
The Saints will LOAD up in the box against Peterson with no threat of Rice out there.

I really think Saints win easily esp at home.

I don't think anything is a lock. This game is going to be a tough one. You never know if Favre is going to play like he did or not. Also, you never know if Peterson is going to have a ridiculous game. I still think it's going to be a 3 point game; so take the Vikings +6

It would be hard to imagine favre being sharp right out of the gate. On the flip side you have one of the best QB's in the NFL who HAS been in training camp and HAS been trying to improve in the off-season. It's a no-brainer for me

The Saints are good against the run on what measure? They allowed 4.52 yards per carry last season, ranking 27th in the NFL. Not trying to diss you, just curious.

(That poor run defense wasn't too big an issue for them last season because they generally built a lead with their superb offense, making run defense fairly irrelevant).

This shouldn't have been as close as it was, Saints should have won by ten or more, and would have if not for the missed field goals. Think Vegas knew Hartley sucks?
