Vikings/Saints Opener Over/Under

Looking at these 2 teams I just do not see the total staying under the posted 48.5. Hearing that the the secondaries are a little banged up as well only makes me think the over even more. I see people liking the under however, is this cause its the opener and teams will be rusty, playing a little conservative. I see the Saints scoring at least 28-35 points while the Vikings should keep it close for a while, scoring maybe 21 points at least?

Any thoughts or opinions?

i would expect the saints at home to cover but you have to give favre respect. First game of the season with two good offenses should hit the over 48, O 48 is definitely the play here..thats where my money is at least lol. BOL to those betting on the spread.

I took the Vikings and the under. The Vikings out played the Saints last year and I think the public is blindly picking the Superbowl champs pushing the line in my favor. I took the under because I expect Minny to be relying on their run game, burning off the clock.

Saints will be all over favre meaning a lot of peterson, hurt WR, just don't see a lot of scoring for Vikes. I think the Vikes D is good enough though to hold Saints down a little bit

If I bet I would pick the under (Defenses are usually a bit ahead of the offenses early in the season) and the Saints. Favre has not practiced and is playing on an underinflated tire.

I think the Saints will come out feeling like they have something to prove.

Originally I liked the over, but it looks like the public is heavily on the over, which is never a good sign and when the line is 44 or more on opening day I believe the under hits at close to 70%. No play for me.

GO SAIINTS!.. hmmm tough game to decide. Opening night, both side is missing some key players (saint missing star D player/while viking missing needed O player), both team got something to prove (viking felt like they were cheated/saints need to prove it wasnt a fluke).

on another note and this is what i think. I'm not stating facts so don't get defensive about it viking fans..
saints vs viking
coach > coach (but if payton play-calling isnt as aggressive with this game like the SB, Saints wont cover)
offens > offens (passing game for sure but running game vikings got a slight edge)
d line < d line (but saints safeties n corners have an edge over vikings)

edited: p.s. This is my thoughts about how the teams is right now, not how they was last year! What happen last year might happen again or it might not, it all depend on if the teams do anything to improve or not.
