I'm buying up to +7.5 and taking Carolina. Steve Smith and Jonathan Stewart are back, and the offensive line is tough. Otah is out for the first game on the O-line, but I'm not sure how much that will affect them. Defensive wise, even with the loss of Peppers the Panthers defense is better this season than it has been in a while...Preseason or not, they looked impressive the past few weeks, especially their pass rush. I think the Giants offense is just decent, and I expect the panthers to do well this Sunday. They may lose, but if they do I think it will be by a field goal. I'm also thinking it will be a pretty low scoring game

#2They played strong against the Giants in the past but I don't see them doing the same thing. The conversion to Bradshaw as the starting back should make the Giants offense very versatile. With Steve Smith (CAR) and JStew just getting back from their injuries I wouldn't count on them just yet, especially with a new QB. They are giving a lot of points which makes this game very tempting but I like the Giants ATS hereComment -

#3I'm probably staying away and just watching, but I'll be really interested to see how much of a difference Steve Smith will make for Carolina's passing game. I think that they've got some good young receivers who could do some damage when they aren't the main focus of the passing game for defense's like they were in the preseason. I wouldn't be suprised if the Giants covered either...I might just put a little on the underComment -

#5Not a bad idea. It's a hard game to go on week one considering all the changes to each team. I'd wait a few days, see how the line moves and keep updated with rotoworld for injuries. Right now I'm leaning towards Giants but wouldn't be too surprised to see a close gameComment -
