The Vikings have only three healthy corner backs on their active roster. The New Orleans Saints like to use four wide receiver sets.It doesn't take a sport whiz to realize the numbers don't work in the Vikings' favor.Their shortage of healthy corners forces the Vikings to explore different options. Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier didn't even rule out getting some help from Cedric Griffin, who returned to practice this week after missing all of training camp while recovering from anterior coruscate ligament surgery. Well folks no practice???/lol/lol... To be going into the Saints game (which we should have been preparing for since the schedules came out) with only 3 CBs. These bums will have their work cut out for them all year. I'm surprised that Colonel Klink would leave his most vulnerable flank this open for attack!!!On both sides of the ball I'm sad to say. Depleted corners, downgraded receiver, corps, shaky o-line and 1 hit away from #2QB flailing away. What opposing team would be shaking in their boots over that??? Saints must be lickin their chops Saints by 14 Maybe 21 Opp,s 24]{{{{Keep It Under Your Hat}}}}}}

The Saints will be trying to maintain a positive streak by reigning Super Bowl champions, which have won the next year's regular season opener in each of the last 10 seasons.

yea, I think the Saints have some injuries too, might have to get the guy who usually sells popcorn to play some linebacker for the Black & Gold!

Will the Vikes offense be sharp out of the box?
Really nice way to kickoff the season.

Saints roll, just wrote up a blog about it actually....
At first glance I like the under, but I'll probably wait until game day to make any plays.

Vikings had a magical year last time around and might not make the playoffs this year; Saints win easy.

Vikings plus the points for me. I'm finding some books with a ML at +220. I'll play that value also.

it is always hard to figure a team the first game after a championship. sometimes you get the Heat scoring in the 60s, other times they run the other team out of town. I think the total is way too high though, and will be hitting the under

I don't know what the pick is here. Vikings are dealing with some injuries but should still be solid. Like I have said, the vikings gave away the championship game last year so I see no reason why the Saints should be even a 4 point favorite.

they covered that easily in the superbowl and they'll cover it easily on Thursday. A "out of playing shape" Favre, no Rice, stop peterson and the game is won. No way the Saints lose an opening night at home that place will be rocking. Saints 38- Vikings 17

Saints -3 (-125)
they win and cover first game
*also depending on lines, wager against the Superbowl champs 2nd,3rd,4th weeks of the season.

Saints win SU. The spread will be rigged. So wait till gametime to find out which side is being pounded and then fade the public. But the Saints win SU.
