Is this Green Bay's year?

Green Bay will be solid this season. Not 100% sure about the Pats because the D doesnn't look so hot.

The Packers defense is suspect with a lot of injuries and the depth looked terrible in the preseason.

I'd say just stick any futures money back in your pocket, it's terrible value and it'll be on hold for 6 months.

Interesting, I already have a bet for the Saints to win the Super Bowl.
I was about to add a bet to the Packers, I thought they were a good team to bet, I'm still going to bet on the Packers just incase.
My third bet would be for the Ravens to win the Super Bowl.

great squad but their defense has been devestated with injuries.

Why is it terrible value? I think Justin7 said futures have good value. The only time I've done it, I bet the dolphins following their 1-15 (or whatever, 2-14?) year, same year Pats went 16-0, and I got 40 to 1 on them to win the division. You remember what happen right? Hehehe. My bet? A little over two dollars.

Still the best odds I've ever hit, though. I really did feel 40 to 1 was crazy. With more experience, I'd've put 50 on them.

Green Bay is the sexy team this year...dont believe the hype. They were blessed last year with a ridiculously high turnover margin which tend to even out. Buyer beware.

This is a good exception you're talking about. With futures betting, I won't bet anything at less than 20 to 1, but I prefer at least 30 to 1. This will negate the six month hold because the odds are so long with such a big payout. For example, I've got the Bucs to win the NFC South at 30 to 1 this year. If you're betting stuff around 10 to 1 or less, you're eating huge chalk, though.

GB's defense is just not good enough to contend right now. They could conceivably improve and get into the mix of contenders, but right now it's hard to believe they're better than 9 or 10 wins this season.

It could be a lot of team's "year", but who can survive injuries and random luck. GB definitely have a good chance. I think they will win the division and possibly a 1st round bye.

I know it was just the preseason but it looks like rogers is ready to take it to another level. If their def can play solid this year than they could be a top 5 team.

So difficult to determine who will be their in the end. Heck i thought the bears back in 85 were gonna build a dynasty. With a sport so phyical and parity with the cap it's hard to like any team for a future bet. Green Bay is in that pack of teams that can win anywhere from 9 to 12 games and in that division with Favre...tough to figure out which way this can go.
