It sucks but it's all about money. If they only played 3 preseason games half of the teams would miss out on a home gate.

It may be the same price for the preseason week 4 (aka final auditions for roster spots 50-53) as it is for division Rivalry games late in the season if you come up to the gate, but I guarantee you it's not the same price on StubHub, eBay, etc. Unless your team is shit and can't sell out in which case too bad.

Everybody knows what to expect. Consider it a perk of season tickets, like going to training camp, but at the stadium.

The more I think about it, the NFL dosent necessarily want the 18 game schedule, I think it put out there as a bargaining chip.

The owners really want to shift the pay structure where the players get less of the total revenue - thinking that the 18 game schedule it be a good trade off to get that.

The preseason shouldn't charge regular season prices for this nonsense. They strong arm season ticket holders like myself to buy these games. I end up giving these games away or taking a loss on selling them.

I love how you put Cutlers name in with those two...what a joke and its for the final roster spots. Might not mean much to you but means the world to them. They are playing for a spot they are playing for the game. They are not the ones holding out for bigger contracts and making it all about the money they play to play

You say they are strong arming you??? uhhhh no...you bought them it bottom line. If you feel like it is B.S. then don't buy the tickets....I love how people complain about this and PSLs yet they still buy them, claiming they don't have a choice. You ALWAYS have a choice.

around here all the college football fans claim wisconsin rips them off by charging them full price for 7 tickets (3 of them non-conference garbage) + a "donation" of $250/seat
if they're dumb enough to pay $600 each to go to essentially 4 amateur sporting events/year and get sardined on a metal bench in the cold with no room then they have no right to complain!

i think it's important to play more than 2 - a lot of players have only made the nfl because they had a chance to show it in the preseason
