    ONE Play I LOVE ---- LIONS + 7
Ok since football season is starting up , I will try to get serious and stop using the word, but this one is so close that I am tempted, but out of respect for the greatest game ever, I wont.

Still, The Lions + 7 is gold. This line should be PK. Even with the game in Chicago, this line should be a PK. The Lions are a better team than the Bears this year. but the linesmakers know that every tom dick and harry will be willing to lay 7 points no matter who is playing the Lions.

This Lions team is the best team they have had in probably 15 years. First, Matthew Stafford is back for his second season. With a years experience behind him, he will have a much better year. Also, the fact that the Lions offensive line has improved dramatically since last season.

In addition, the Lions have added a very good running game which will take the pressure off Stafford and force opponents defenses to defend both the run and the pass. The addition of explosive running back Jahvid Best gives the Lions two very strong running threats. Kevin Smith pretty much had to do it all be himself last season, but that wont be the case this year. The Lions also brought in a pretty good Wide Reciever in Nate Burelson.

But the biggest improvement this team made was on their defense. They have added Kyle VanDen Bosch, Dre Bly, Heisman candidate Ndamukong Suh, Landen Johnson, and Amari Speivey just to name a few.

This Lions squad was outscored by 232 points last year during their 2-14 season, and I can all but Guarantee that this defense will keep games much much closer.

Although Stafford did throw 20 Interceptions last season, he managed to complete 53% of his passes, he showed great arm strength and a very good ability to run with the ball to get out of trouble. He just didnt have a running game, and offensive line, or a defense. All three of these defieciences have been greatly improved during the off season.

The Bears on the other hand, IMO are a worse team than last season. And they werent very good last year. The Bears one big addition is of course, Julius Peppers, and I cant say anything bad about that.

Still, this Bears squad is very suspect on their offensive line, in the secondary, and in their recieving corps. The 4 top recievers for this team will be a very old Devin Hester, Johnny Knox, Rashied Davis, and Devin Aromashodo.

The Offensive line, which was very likely the worst pass blocking unit in the NFL last season is pretty much the same. A lot was made of Stafford's 20 Interceptions last season, but Bears QB Cutler actually threw 26 interceptions.

IMO, the Bears are one of the worst teams in the NFL even with the addition of Peppers. I dont think they would deserve to be a 7 point favorite against the 2008 or 2009 Lions, I know they dont deserve it against this 2010 Lions team.

Of course, its understandable, the Lions have had 2 horrific years, and it is going to take a lot of points to get bettors to out their cash on these Lions. But the fact is, NFL teams are not the same from year to year, and the fact that the Lions went 0-16 in 2008 is a null point. All it really means is they will be a value bet quite often this year, and here is one spot.

IMO, The Lions will be able to run the ball rather easily against the Bears here, and when they establish the run, that will open up Stafford who can definitly make the big play when he gets time and has a running game established.

I also believe the Bears are going to struggle mightily against a very very improved Lions defense. I call this one a Lions win by the score of 24-17, but the Play here is not the ML, the play here is

    LIONS + 7

    ** Official Play.
