I dont know where all this sb hype is coming from for this team. I think there offense struggles this year and they dont win more than 9 or 10 games. When i was in vegas in june a lot of the books had the jets 2nd choice to win AFC. And second or third choice to win the SB. Was bullshitiing with an assistant Linesmaker at bellagio and he didnt understand it either. Where they were set as far as odds wise. What do you guys think?

Because that's what Bill Parcells and every Giant fan were saying when they were doing it with D. The jets don't need to sign Revis. It would help, but they can win without him...the difference between the leagues best cb and its 10th best isn't as glaring as other positions. He isn't worth financially crushing the team.Comment -
The Revis holdout is incredibly dumb but the highlight reel on his coverages is absolutely sick. He didn't just cover Ochocinco/Moss/Marshall etc, he owned them. If you're trying to win a SB on defense, you can't just shove a rookie in his spot. Maybe the Saints or Colts could get away with that, but not this team.
What I really don't understand about NFL fandom this offseason is how everyone is giving the Colts so much credit(a second half collapse away from a superbowl and dominant season) but not the Jets, who were in a similar spot to beat the colts and get to the big game. Factor in Shonn Greene and the offseason acquisitions and I don't know how you can say they aren't a contender.Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.Comment -

Agree 100% with the OP; they went 9-7 last year and only did that because their last two opponents had the playoffs locked up and decided to lay down. They'll win 7 or 8 games and miss the playoffs. Already down on Baltimore +3 on opening week.Comment -

Sanchez doesn't have to do alot. They were the best running attack and a hell of a defense. I expect a great season but talking super bowl this early is a bit outlandish and that is coming from a Jets fan. But one thing I do like is haters gave them a no chance to get to the AFC championship game last year and now they have a better team on both sides of the ball.Comment -
