Well sports fans... the NFL season is upon us and it's time to take the bookies to the cleaners.

I play NFL and NBA pretty heavily during their respective seasons and have profited a tidy sum over the long haul.

I'm not here to promote myself or cause any problems, simply listing plays and hoping to encourage decent discussion.

I'm not here to tell you WHO to pick, I am here keeping record of who I AM picking. As a wise man from these boards once said, "It's your money"... sometimes may be safer just picking your nose, like tonight, no play on the NY vs NJ game.

I'll most likely bet damn near the entire board for next weeks games.

6 - 2 on the day. I really had a good read on the BAL @ WSH game and wish I woulda laid a couple more units on my boys but oh well.
For tonights game I'm leaning towards SF -2.5 and OVER 34.5 but may just end up picking my nose.

SF will not be playing their offensive starters (or atleast key members) so a play on SF is out of the question now. A play on the total is a bit scarry as well given that I don't see SF scoring more than 9 points.... MIN may put up a bunch of points, but a defense led by Singeltary is sure to be pretty tight as well.

If anything I think a play on MIN ML as well as ATS is worth a shot.

thats just funny.... books sure killed it on the square plays this weekend. Glad I just picked my nose instead of playing this game I suppose. Was spot on with the total... well maybe not spot on, but the under was a good bet given the defensive minded nature of both teams

ended up out of town for most of last week... missed making/posting any plays which looks like I woulda lost 1 unit going off my leans, so guess I was better off picking my nose.

Hey mang... welcome to the "block"... Thanks for the kind words - they are scarce around these parts unless you have a following - which I don't and thats totally cool by me.

I didn't keep a thread last season... I actually don't think I was even a member during last NFL season... I joined to brush up on my NBA handicapping. I liked some of the folks around here and have decided since to make this one of my "home away from home"s - although I haven't been around as much as I'd like due to work lately.

Anyway my record last season was defintately above 60%... my goal this season is to A) make money B) hit over 65% C) Document all plays in the hope others may benefit.

Do you plan on keeping a thread with plays as well? Since we are both so darn "smart" I'd like to see what ya got as well...

ahhhh, that SF game sucked royaly.started out looking great, then quickly turned to shit. couldn't even hit on the total - guess ill be happy for the push. even though my picks were in late they will count against my running total as they were my plays.
