    Ragewizard's Preseason Plays
Finally football has started again. I like to play the preseason because it is more predictable than the regular season. Usually it gives me a chance to build up the bankroll before the regular season. This year, instead of giving you losers like I did last year, I am actually gonna put down who I think will win. It seems that some people have a problem when I tell them who is going to lose against the spread as opposed to who will win. Anyway, I am not as sure fire with my preseason picks as I am with the Tour de France, which has always been a winning investment for me, but I usually do at least eek out a profit over the meaningless games that are now before us.

    Good luck everyone!

Oh the contrarian. Most would disagree I think. What do you like in stocks right now RW?

I'm looking for a small relief rally next week, so I bought some Bank of America (BAC) before the close on Friday. I also think the materials sector will continue to see some weakness, so I am currently short Freeport McMoran (FCX), but the stock is at several points of support, so I have automatic orders in if it bounces on Monday to cover the shorts, or if it breaks through support at around $68.30 to pound the stock with some more short positions.

For the NFL market however, I went 3 - 1 yesterday, and I have small investments on all of the rest of week1. Also I really do believe that the preseason is easier to predict than the regular season on teams that play each other every preseason like T.B / MIA, OAK / S.F, NYG / NYJ, and some others that I can't think of now. There are also teams that either generally lose all the games like IND, or try to win all the games like SEA.

I don't really specialize, but I have noticed that I actually have abetter winning percentage in the preseason than in the regular season. I still don't have the stones to put down the amounts that I usually do during the regular season however, but I have increased the amounts a little for this year.

I forgot to mention the semi-conductors in my stock report. I like AMD here as well for next week, or perhaps the etf of SMH.

OK a pretty decent start to the season in Week 1. So far for Week 2, I have the 1st 2 nights of wagers that I have made so far.

As for the stock market, the relief rally is probably over, and it is time to short again. The banks had a weak rally so they are totally in the crosshairs. It looks like the materials slump is over for now, so look for copper, gold, and other materials to continue after a brief pullback of a couple of days.

Week 2 hasn't been too good for me yet. I have gone 1-2 so far, so hopefully tonight will turn things around a little bit.

I got back on track last night by going 4 - 0 and now I sit at 10 - 4 for the preseason. Tonight old fossilized Farve is going to start for the Vikings. Yeah he will play, and probably play pretty well, but Jackson is silently pissed, and I expect him and old Sage, Rosemary and thyme to play well as well. I like Minny (+2.5) to basically win running away with the game. San Fran did well last week against the who cares about preseason Colts, and did run up quite the score. Tonight I expect that the points will come at a premium against the viking defense. I still think that the score will go over the total of 35.5 points, but I don't want to invest a full amount of preseason bankroll with this game, so I have halved both bets so that if I somehow lose both, I will only lose the amount equal to 1 preseason wager for me. Good luck to everyone tonight and for the rest of the NFL season!

Well my money management strategies worked out for me last Sunday when I split the investment into 2 different investments and lost them both. So now my record for the year is 10 - 6, but half of the losses are with investments that are less than my average. For this week, I have Thursday's and Friday's games up for show, and hopefully, I will finish the rest of the weekend by Thursday. Good luck to everyone and lets go get the money.

Well I went 2 - 1 last night and my overall record is now 12 - 7, and I have finally finished handicappin this weeks games. I have added a couple of games that are on Satruday to the pile of plays for this week.

                              Good luck to everyone!

I hit a patch of bad luck last week, and I only went 6 - 5 overall for the week, but the games that I did win weren't weighted as my favorites, so I ended up losing some cash. This week, I automatically lessen the amounts for the week, as I get prepared for the regular season so the bankroll will not increase or decrease that much.
