I'll never understand the hate for McNabb. He has no superbowl ring-even the best of the best need a lot of luck even to make it to the bowl. I think he's very talented and quite reasonable. How many people would have had a fit to the fans in Philly and probably knocked TO's teeth out? His scrambling days are largely over but it's not like Peyton or Brady have ever been out of pocket QB's. His Philly return will be fun though-kind of a mini Favre/GB deal. Ciao

McNabb will put up good numbers but he never had a sense of urgency about him when he needed to punch one in at the end of the 4th qtr. Other QB's go on auto-pilot and start directing traffic, Donovan looked like he wanted to be anywhere but on the field at crunch time...... and thats a fact. As far as Philly goes, McNabb is not a "system QB", he was jammed into the Andy Reid offense. Timing and precision are not what he does best. He threw very few interceptions because he does not trust recievers. He is unwilling to allow his guy to make a play on the ball....if he is not open, the ball is not coming. TO is a bad guy but he was more right than wrong about Donovan. I like McNabb as a person and football player. He had the misfortune of being drafted by a guy who insisted on QB's bending to meet his system as opposed to gameplanning off a player's stregnths. Donovan needs to open his mouth and tell the offensive coor. to do things that he is more comfortable with. People did not hate on McNabb, they wanted Ricky Williams on draft day because the defense is still picking E. Smith's cleats out of their teeth. The Eagles had not had a power running attack in the 80's or 90's and watched other NFC East teams win Superbowls with premier 25+/game carry RB's (Cowgirls, Skins and the Giants all went to SB's in the 90's with RB's not QB's). Remember the Buff Bill's.....could not stop the run in there SB appearances. Thats what Eagle fans saw year after year and then a QB instead of a highly rated pot smoking RB in '99. In all seriuosness, that is what that was about and guess who turned out to be right????? NO Championshipszzzz.
