I think we will play this season. if he doesn't then his skills will take a little hit, i think. sitting out a year in the NFL can set you back. take for example Michael Vick or Adam Jones. They used to be pretty explosive at their respected positions. Now Vick is a backup and Jones is bouncing around the league from team to team. I hope Revis plays, I like watching him shutdown the top receivers.

Maybe miss a few games, but I can't see them pushing this past the halfway point of the season. Maybe it's a ploy for extended offseason for Revis?

Revis will play this season. My guess is they come to some agreement sooner than later, maybe even this week. Neither side can afford to mess this up; if Revis doesn't play this year, he may not play for 2 years, b/c nobody may be playing in 2011 if trends continue.

The owner quoting something in August doesn't mean shit. Revis is not going to sit out the year, mark it down.

Possibly both sides plan on caving in before the season starts though it is hard to tell.

The owner saying he wont play combined with the fact that he is Sean Gilbert's nephew it does not look promising.

Yeah, I don't see how he can take time off at this point in his career, even if he takes a pay cut he's got to be out there.
