I am a Packers fan...I am cautiously optimistic about the season. Their offense should be able to score on anyone, it's the defense I am concerned about. They were awful against any good QB last season.

I think the Packers go 10-6. We'll see where that puts them.

Hopefully this rook from Buff. will help the run game. His injury hurting his chances missing camp. Brandon has become a very solid 3rd down back with excellent blocking skills and ability to catch or run. Will wait and see.

The top two reasons that the Green and Yellow fall back to mediocrity again
this year...

1) Ted Thompson

2) Mike McCarthy...

The GM and Coach will run the Green and Yellow down into the cellar
of the NFC North....

Their skill sets are so totally inadequate for professional football...

And I think any righteous man can see the writing on the wall for Aaron Rodgers...his
best season is now already behind him.....pity....

He plays scared...plain and simple.....

The cheese on top of people's heads in Brown County has started to turn from yellow to green...


Pity the fan who has to sit next to one.......

you may have a point on Ted but you are so far from it on Rodgers its funny. Do a little reading from unbiased knowledgeable football writers and see what they say.

I'm a Packer's season ticket holder, and it kind of amazes me some of the idiotic things some people have said in this forum about the Packers...conversely, there has also been some very knowledgeable things said. Despite how you may feel about him as a person (as he is rather mundane and boring), anyone who doesn't respect the GM abilities of Ted Thompson only stands to discredit themselves.

One question. Why doesn't Thompson max out the cap, especially when the team is on the brink of contention? Look at the Vikings bringing a guy like Jared Allen, at least they spent to the cap limit. Where is our ace? We were 15 million under the cap last year! I don't even want to list the guys we could've had for that money. I love how the Packers are back from those miserable seasons a few years ago, but why cheap out? I feel cheated. Ted Thompson = Ebenezer Scrooge. He needs a good night of haunting! Bring in some top talent, we have needs at a lot of positions!

Good defensive line, Bad offensive line.

I will make my conclusions when they play against the Colts in preseason.

Packers defeated the Colts in the 08 season, that's only because a Colts WR failed to catch Manning's pass which turned into an touchdown interception.

I am sure that the NFC conference championship will be between the Saints and Cowboys.

I do not think the Saints will be there. They will not surprise anyone this year and every team will bring its A game. Need a lot more than just talent. Injuries always play a big part.

I agree with JW Cash - every espn announcer wants to believe that the Packers are way better than they granted they had a great defense last year but thats because they had just switched to a 3-4 this is not a common defense in the nfc so teams were shocked now that more teams are switching - the nfc north will be better prepared and they had an offseaon to see where the hols are in that defense which there are many.
