    NFL Team to watch closely
KC Chiefs. I am not a fan of theirs but with Weis teaming with Cassel in a system where Cassel had his only success, look for points to be scored in KC. Dont underestimate the staff on the defensive side of the ball. Anthony Pleasent will have Dorsey and Jackson ready to break out.

Could happen something here. I think they can be really good in 3 years or more.

Remember what Weis did with a new QB in Brady with C class receivers like Patton, Branch, Givens and Graham at TE. They all looked great that season and died off after. Anything can happen but I expect Weis to find a way to get Bowe the ball and they got that good rookie out of Ole Miss that might be a Hester type playmaker.

I like the Chiefs to win 7-8 games this year as they have an easy schedule (especially from week 7 on). They will win at least 3 more home games as they went 1-7 at home last year. Look for them to be a sleeper along with Washington.

You like Washington as a sleeper? I am on the fence. Would the 49ers be a sleeper or no?

The record may not show it, but the Lions have stacked a couple of very nice drafts together. Would not shock me one bit if they somehow pass the Bears.

Good point. I like the Lions but is their secondary up to the task?

49ers are a sleeper but until they get a qb they will be 8-8 or worse.

Biggest question would be their line play on both sides. Suh should fill that need for 10 years on D. A great DL will help a poor secondary. A running game that can control the clock will help the D. Doubt they have all that, but they are getting some talent there.

McDaniels was the one who coached Cassel. The team was not game planning the same, or did it have the same caliber of WRs as in the Weis days. Brady was made by some clutch field goal drives, and one helpful overturned fumble. The Patriots won their super bowls on the backs of GREAT DBS, and some very good defensive schemes. together with a very well organized offense, designed merely to pick up short gains, and possess the ball. Weis as an OC is more than a Question Mark. When He was in New England, he "MADE" Tom Brady??? That one seems to be trending to the other way around. He went to NOTRE DAME, got every recruit he could want. and lost twice to navy.. The biggest scare is that he, was exposed OFFENSIVELY.. Don't get me wrong, Clausen had a very good year. I am just thinking that with the publicity and expectations placed on Charlie Weis, he would have "developed" an outstanding QB in his tenure at ND, or at the least an outstanding college QB, and neither was accomplished.

This is the situation where they are BANKING on people who were good in a certain system, because the system is good. That system required a LEADER who was driven, prepared his players with an obsession for being ready for any situation, and maintained control over his assts. Hayley has to be this, for that system to work again. The tragic flaw is that both Crenel and Weis, may take a stance where Hayley is working for them, instead of the other way around.

depth is going to be a problem....lack of WR is going to be a problem. Defense is going to be a problem. That being said they get to play the Raiders twice.

Chiefs, Raiders, BOTH will be mega improved. Chargers on the way down, and denver getting killed with injuries. Chiefs and raiders battle for the division.
Bears and Lions will also be very improved, byut tough division will make their jobs tougher.
