Ravens' CB Foxworth Tears ACL, Out for Season
Baltimore Ravens starting cornerback Dominique Foxworth torn his anterior cruciate ligament in Thursday's practice and will miss the coming season.

Just wanted to pass this story along, combined with Ed Reed's lengthy recovery the Ravens' pass defense looks like it's going to be in trouble. For a team that was weak in the secondary to begin with this'll be a huge blow, but it'll make for some fun shootouts along the way!
    2011 NFL: 4-0 ATS
2010 NFL: 21-31 ATS (Stopped after Week 12)
    2009 NFL: 55-30-1 ATS
    2008 NFL: 57-36-2 ATS

    Overall: 137-97-3 ATS

Definitely going to hurt not having him

Just puts more pressure on Reed, Washington, and Webb to get healthy...

Ravens look very good this year if they can stay healthy... not going to well.... Thankfully the offense isnt falling apart yet.

I feel like we're probably looking at a pass defense that will be ranked in the bottom half of the league in yards per pass attempt allowed, we'll see if that pans out or not though

If I'm reading the stats page on ESPN right, the Ravens were 7th in TDs allowed and tied for 5th in picks. Considering how good their run D was I think that says more than yards. Also ask Tom Brady about how well they rush the passer.

If Reed or Ray Lewis went down it'd be a much bigger deal.

Any Ravens fans on hear with opinions/info on the Ravens' backup CBs?
Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.

Well Reed already is down, that's why this is such a big deal

Do most sports books allow you to bet Money Line on all NFL games? Also just wondering are you allowed to do a Money Line parlay with NFL?

Reed says he's at about 35% right now from a hip injury, he'll almost certainly start the year on the PUP list. There's also whispers he may not play a down this season. Hopefully it doesn't come to that though

Yes, most sportsbooks allow both of these things

Reed is most likely out week 1... i read somewhere on ESPN that hes at like 85%... he will be on PUP list most likely...

The backup CB are naturally not as good as the guys who appear to be dropping like flies...
But as long as they rush the passer it should not be a huge problem.
Last year the Ravens were not as good at rushing the passer as they have been in past years. Yea they were killing it in Defense against the Run but when they couldnt get to the passer their CBs were being destroyed.
Ravens picked up some guys in the draft that will be extremely helpful for rushing the passer.
It all defends on the O line they are going up against and the type of QB they are up against as well.

Also keep in mind that towards the last half of last season they lost 1 or 2 of their starting CBs...
They destroyed the Pats in the playoffs whether you blame it on not having Welker or not... they raped Tom Brady..
Then they went and played the colts where they were capable of protecting Manning and he threw on them like no tomorrow...

Personally I expect the Ravens to lose their first 2 games... at the Jets and at Cinci....
Depending on their injuries they may never lose after that...
If they can F*ckin stay healthy they will be a superbowl contender in my opinion.

This could be just my Ravens fan excitement showing but I hope they f*ckin stay healthy.
The offense is not dyin off yet but camp just started....
