Who is the most likely to win in week 1!

Me and a buddy of mine were talking today about survivor football ( pick one team to to win each week) and every year this first week always scares me.. not knowing how good teams are..

who is most likely to win there first game?

suggestions for survivor picks?

Bears probably, won't be a great team to use down the road and should win Week 1 so get them out of the way now

Week 1 does look like a tough pick in survivor leagues this year. There are 5 reasonable options: Titans, Giants, Bears, Pats, Bolts.

I'll dismiss the Bolts right away because they are playing a road divisional game on Monday night, weirdness may happen. Plus the Bolts are a rare team that might be worth saving later into the season when the dust settles a little bit. If you like them, play them, but I'd pass.

Pats are a better option because they are at home hosting a pesky Bengals team that finished last year on a down slide. This might be a good spot to take a dependable team if you don't subscribe to the "saving teams" theory.

Bears at home against the lowly Lions looks good on paper, but I desperately try to avoid divisional matchups in survivor leagues.

Giants hosting the Panthers in their home opener looks promising, if you like the Giants. I'm not really solid on the Giants yet.

Titans hosting the Raiders is the best play. As of today, I'd go with the hottest team to finish 2009 again a team switching QBs.
