NFL Teams I have heard nothing about
The NY GIANTS. They beat the Cowboys and Redskins TWICE last year. They lost to he Eagles twice because the couldnt cover the deep ball.

The SF 49ers. Hey they went 8-8 and lost some close ones to Indy and Minn.

The Eagles. The QB will be good. I really think so. Have they found a running game yet.

What about those Browns ending the season Hot. Coming in to a 2010-11. I think they crush TB in game 1

Getting tired of talking about the same teams. Lets get some meat.

49ers should easily make the playoffs this year, pretty good team that plays in a horrible conference as long as alex smith doesnt mess up to badly

How can the 49ers be a sleeper every football season? Would anyone really want their coach or QB? Maybe I am biased, it just seems like everyone in the world talks about this team in it's easy division, and then they do things like lose to Seattle.

They are not a sleeper. They are everyone's sleeper. Every year. Because they have great tradition of winning. It's hard to win in the NFL, usually you need a very good QB and a very good coach. There is a case that could be made, that SF has the worst coach in its' division. And the second or third best QB.. If you have the 2nd best QB in your division, you had better have guys named, Palmer, Manning, or Brady in your division.

NYG need to fix their defense, and it might work.

CLE needs a nicer schedule. They could start 2-0, if they stop KC's run. after that they are going to drop like a rock, unless Jake can throw more TDs than INTs. this is the next 5 games, @ BAL, host CIN, host ATL, @ PIT, @ NO.. can they win even 2 of those games?? they could be 2-5 or 1-6, before the bye.

No sleepers yet, but we should talk about some teams no one seems to be talking about

        CAR, TEN, PITT, PHI

Here's the problem with the Eagles. While I agree that Kolb will produce at a similar level as Mcnabb, the Eagles' schedule is so much tougher than last year. Last season they beat 1 team over .500, they played a cupcake of a schedule. The team really isn't that much improved from last year, so I think the tougher schedule will result in them finishing about 8-8

Browns ending the season hot?... Well they played the Chiefs, Raiders, and uninterested Jaguars in 3 of those 4 weeks, and the Pittsburgh game was terrible weather so Big Ben couldn't throw, which was the Steelers' biggest strength last year. I wouldn't read too much into that and it'll be interesting to see if Delhomme can stop turning the ball over this year.

Giants could likely get a playoff spot. Passing game was good last year and should get better this season with Nicks getting more action. They opened 5-0 last season and took a ridiculous number of injuries on defense, I think that if they stay healthy this year they've got a very good chance at a wild card spot. Biggest concern is the running game, Jacobs can't be the running back he was last year, and they can't rely on Bradshaw because he had screws put in his feet this offseason. He probably won't hold up, Jacobs has to be the player he was 2 or 3 seasons ago.
          2011 NFL: 4-0 ATS
2010 NFL: 21-31 ATS (Stopped after Week 12)
          2009 NFL: 55-30-1 ATS
          2008 NFL: 57-36-2 ATS

          Overall: 137-97-3 ATS

3 NFC teams that should be in the playoffs this year that have not been talked about alot yet:
                  Green Bay
                  San Francisco
                  Atlanta

3 AFC teams that have been low key so far:

Miami-Houston-Indy (shocking for a Super bowl team)

If you haven't heard about GB/SF, then you haven't been listening to anyone anywhere. SF is everyone's pick to win that division, GB is amazingly picked by a lot of people to take the division from Minny. Atl is flying under the radar, but that's why I've got my money on them. GB & SF present no value at current odds.

Miami & Houston are flying under the radar for good reason, they haven't proven anything yet. Plus both teams play in brutal divisions and brutal overall schedules. If one or both can get into the playoffs, I like either of these teams to be a tough out for whoever plays them. Indy isn't really flying under the radar, people are still picking them, but at current odds there simply isn't any value. Personally, I like the Texans in 2010 because their offense has been dynamite for a couple years already and their defense is emerging with their premium draft picks looking to finally pay off as they enter the prime years of their careers. Miami is a little young for me, they might still be a year away from taking that next step into the upper crust of the NFL.

With Arizona being weaker, 49ers have a chance to make it to playoffs.

I'm tired of the schedule talk. You go in as an underdog and come out a winner-does that boost your confidence a whole bunch? Underrated (sp?) teams get too little attention. I like JAX and MIA as my under the radar picks-course Romo and Manning (Indy that is) will get tons of credit and hype-and perhaps rightfully so. Cheers

Dolphins and 49ers will improve this season.

Falcons haven't improved from what I read.

The Bengals were underrated, then they got TO and everyone started paying attention.

You're right, Philly is underrated and they did pick up two "power" backs in the offseason. I think Oakland will do well also. The Giants are another team that underperformed last season and should do better.

New Orleans, somehow, is getting glossed over. They did not lose much and I don't think the other "top tier" teams from last year got better.
Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.

I like the way the Browns finished last season as well but the totally restructured there QB position and did nothing to improve there WRs, I believe in a few years the can make some noise if Mangini and Holmgren are on the same page, if they win 6 or 7 this year its a good sign

T.O and Ocho Cinco are like best friends.... the Browns are a sleeper???? Not as long as Jake Delhomme is the QB. Maybe if they can bring over Troy Smith from Baltimore.

Eagles and Steelers will both be fine without McNabb and Roethlisberger ... both are overrated. Both teams are defensive teams anyway although the Eagles really miss Brian Dawkins.

The NY Football Giants? ehhh they will finish 3rd in the division and miss the playoffs. Their secondary sucks. Their QB Eli Manning lacks arm strength for an NFL QB and without Plaxico and Strahan this team is not the same.

The Panthers??? The Panthers will win less than 7 games this year. Their defensive line is a joke. They lost 3 out of 4 starters on the D-line and did absolutely nothing to replace them. They also traded pro bowl safety Chris Harris to the Bears for a 3rd string MLB to save money. This team is ballin on budget and clearly preparing for the lockout in 2011.

The Saints- who dat nation will be back and ready to light up the scoreboard.

Colts - I see a much improved defense this year for the Colts with a healthy Bob Sanders and Dwight Freeney. I think Peyton Manning got humbled a little bit in that super bowl disaster and it will drive him to work harder.

Cowboys- well they still have Tony Romo at QB so you never know what your going to get . He could throw 4 TD's or 4 INT's.

Jets- this team may suprise everyone this year and win the super bowl. with the additions of "dancing with the stars" Jason Taylor, Sanantonio Holmes- super bowl MVP, and Antnonio Cromartie. Look out ... this team was already really good last year. I think Mark Sanchez may be the next Tom Brady as much as I hate to say it b/c I can't stand Southern Cal but this dude is legit.

Ravens- This team has been getting a little too much hype IMO they can't stop the pass... Dominique Foxworth is injured in what is already one of the leagues worst pass defenses. The run defense is great. Their running attack is great too. McGahee and Ray Rice are unstoppable. Anquan Boldin will help if he stays healthy but.... Joe Flacco is overrated. Anyone who thinks this guy is a good QB needs to look up his stats in the 2 playoff games last year. What did he throw for 9 yards in the 1st game vs Patriots?? Maybe 120 vs Colts ? no TD's? I think the Jets will expose him in Week 1.

Patriots- Tom Terrific but pass defense sucks and offensive line sucks too. Randy Moss needs to have a big year.

3 NFC teams that should be in the playoffs this year that have not been talked about alot yet:
                                                    Green Bay
                                                    San Francisco
                                                    Atlanta
What? every magazine out there has Green Bay and Atlanta winning their division. Throw in the Jets and Baltimore and you have covered all the public 's sexy picks.

No one is talking about Ny Giants and Carolina who I think will make a move.
