I just clued into the point-buying feature for football games. Now I wonder, how does this affect the seasonal record of the handicapper. I ask because I've been posting my record on my picks, and want to keep it honest.
An example for the NFL this weekend. I bought a point on the San Diego Chargers when they were -4, to bring them down to -3. Now they are to -5.5 in places.
Suppose they win by four. I win my bet, but did I technically get the game right, or is it a push?
What if they win by five? I win my bet, but they don't cover the final line that is posted. Did I get the game right, or not?
I know its all a minor detail, because I collect my cash, but curiousity has taken hold.
Thoughts?
