Could we see our first (and last) 28 pt line in NFL history?
If not, why not? Anybody out there wanting to bet the Fish+27.5?

No thanks. I'd guess it will be 24.5. I bet against the Pats in GM 1 and that was quite enough.

If it's 27.5 I'd play NE. I think the line will be even higher at around 31.5 or so

It might be the NFL's first 30 point line possibly.

Maybe NE won't need the game - they'll have home field for the playoffs locked up. In this case, I don't think Miami would get +30 points.

The line won't be that high because NE will likely take it easy in the 2nd half seeing as how they will likely have home field wrapped up at that point.

NE take it easy in the 2nd half??? Wow, you know a different Belichick than I've known for the last couple of decades. If you've been betting against New England in the 2nd half this year you'd be 1-8, and that's with monstrous halftime leads.
You also realize that Belichick's not worried about homefield at this point, right? He's 100% focused on this team's legacy and their place in history. Not to mention he's got a personal vendetta against this Dolphins team now. Hell, he loves Jauron, and even against him he was calling play action passes with Brady still in the game up by 50.
If that opening line is NE -17 put me on New England for just about everything I'm worth...

I think New England is on a mission to win every game this season and be the second team to win every game, I think they are after history this year. If they are giving anything less than -20 against Miami, I will be on New England without a doubt. I think it will be at least 24 or more against them anyways.
