    It was mentioned in another thread that this is the one stat that most NFL coaches pay the most attention to, so here are the rankings after the first eight weeks of 2007:

                Brady's stats are just incredible. QB rating: 136.2. Pass completion percentage: 74.2. And, like you said, yards per pass attempt at 9.1. Geeeezzzz.

                I'm thinking he is talented, in his prime, and has the best O line and receivers he has ever had.

                How in the world do you bet against that? I'm not. Not now.

                  For a more accurate stat I count sacks as passing plays. I also take out spikes.

                      Good point durito.

                      Brady has only been sacked 8 times (tied for third lowest in NFL).

                      I don't know how many times Brady has spiked the ball. However, I suspect it has been relatively few, as the Patriots have not been under a lot of serious time pressure.

                      I believe these two factors only set the Patriots further out in front of the pack with respect to passing efficiency.
