From a playing standpoint, Brett Favre can do whatever he wants. In '09, he threw for over 4200 yards with 33 TD's, 7 Int's, and a QB rating over 107. If he tells Childress he's uncertain at this point if he's going to play, then Childress is a fool to pressure him or give him an ultimatum. If Favre can play at that high a level at 40 years old, then he can do it at 41 years old. Who's next in line to duplicate those stats? Sage Rosenfels... Tarvaris Jackson? I don't think so.
That said, I think we've all just grown tired of hearing about Favre. He relishes in the fact that he can hold the Vikings hostage, and the fact that ESPN talks about him as if he's the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ. He's an absolute diva and prima donna, and he's always had his own interests ahead of those around him. Unfortunately though, the guy can still play football, and in Brett Favre's eyes, and the eyes of the Vikings, that gives him the grounds to be as selfish and arrogant this off-season as he wants.
P.S. On a side note, Favre's cameo in "There's Something About Mary" looked even more retarded than an Eli Manning post-game interview. Just another NFL record Favre holds, 'cause it's damn hard to out-retard Eli!!
