Abiding by my self imposed rule, if I like a dog and it's 3 pts or less, take the ML. Going with Green Bay. Like them off the bye and Denver may have blown their load vs. PIT last week.
The over at 43 may be the best bet of the night however. DEN 4-0 ATS on overs at home. GB at 2-0 ATS on overs on the road. Champ Bailey & Dre Bly dinged up a bit should help GB have more aerial success. GB has been run on much better on the road.Comment -

Take GB, if anything. Denver has been too inconsistent, especially at home. I can't believe I'm saying that GB is more consistent than anybody, but they are more consistent than Denver, especially at the QB position.
Realistically, this game is hard to predict. Another one of those games that could go either way. I prefer to take the dog in those situations. Might as well take the points.Comment -

I like Denver here because Green Bay don't have a running game at all and they have to pass it a lot so I think that Denver has the edge here because they are more of a balanced team, the AFC has ruled vs. the NFC this year also for the most part.Comment -

Okay the fact here is Green Bay have been lucky all year. They are not good but seem to generate key turnovers.
I have watched them live 3 times and i think they should have lost all 3.
Denver are just over rated. That Pass D looks so good because everyone just runs on them.
if you went by form etc Green Bay would be the play but to be honest they are due that luck running out. No running game against a pass d that should be good on paper and a Denver line which is okay and a QB who is poor but hits the big plays.
I think Denver will win by maybe 10 in this one as Farve will add to that interception record. the under looks good.

This, to me, is a hard game to handicap. Two teams with serious potential and serious flaws. It will be interesting to see who finds a way to win.
In such a game, I will take Shanahan, at home, over McCarthy.

Going with GB and the over in a tease. Think that GB can win this one, but wouldn't be surprised if DEN scores a late TD to go up by more than 3. I feel the total could be very close to 43/44, with each team getting to 20, hence the tease.

Denver, which is allowing a league-worst average of 176.2 rushing yards a game. Green Bay is the worst in the league in rushing yards with 66.7 rushing yards a game, however THEY ARE THE TEAM WITH THE FEWEST ATTEMPTS! They have three running backs, they all got injured, which leaves them to their 4th string???? They should all be back tonight Jackson, Morencey, Wynn.

Be careful focusing on the Bronco's poor run defense. I was an advocate of that last week when the Steelers -- an excellent running team -- went to Mile High to play the Broncos. The Steelers got 119 yards running against the Broncos. I got my lunch.
I will be surprised if this game is decided by the Packer's running game.
I think the key will be whether we see Favre-the-TD-Record-Guy or Favre-the-Interception-Record-Guy.Comment -

Dang. Favre was good tonight. And he has some excellent WR's. And the D is tough. That was a good win at Mile High tonight. Looks to me like GB is going to be in the middle of the NFC chase.Comment
