Does that mean the roof can be completely closed, or just to cover all seating??The 50,000m² roof has retractable edges on the East, South and West sections to allow sun to reach all parts of the pitch. When necessary, the roof can be closed within 15mins to cover all seating for events.Comment -

The roof can be partially closed during bad weather to protect the 90,000 spectators, or avoid heavy shadows across the pitch (which television cameras have difficulty coping with). It also opens up to give the pitch full natural light.Comment -
the grass is different too. Said on tv that it's not as thick and harder to get traction. I might have played the under as a result.Comment
