i dont think so, I predicted Indy to be a 6 point underdog and it is up to 7 in some places now.

        Certainly not a trap.
Colts are on the road for second week in a row. They've had less time to prepare coming off a short week.
Panthers are coming off a bye.

I realize the teams are not very good that the Panthers have played but before the bye week they won 2 straight on the road. They're back home now after 2 full practice weeks to prepare for this game where the Colts lost a day to prepare.

How much could the line really be?

I can't see Colts giving more than 7 in this game. I could see it hitting 7 but not more. So I'm not sure if an extra 1/2 point would put it into that trap terminology/classification.

I'm not recommending a side here either way at 6.5 but the line seems about right to me.

Some books have Carolina +7. That's a good deal in my opinion.

Indianapolis is one of the best team this year and will play another championship game against New England. They certainly will win more than 7... Unless VEGAS plays they might only win by a fieldgoal.

Like New England, Indy keeps mowing them down. And they are surely measuring themselves against New England (and therefore playing hard regardless of the situation) and probably feeling disrespected. Even if they slip up on Sunday, it would be a reasonable play to keep riding them. I took the Colts -6.5.

play them in a 2 team teaser.
Indy and New England will both be undefeated when they meet.

I hear ya, man. I went against Indy twice this year and got burned twice. It's tempting to ride the Indy money train, but Harrison is out. I know they seem to function fine without him. It kinda sucks being an Indy fan, it's tough to be objective. But, I think ya gotta take Indy -6.5.

For me it means that the line is set at a point in which linesmakers have decided they will know that a majority will be one side and they are happy to take the imbalance of action as they see things that most dont.

As for me this is a spot that I must take CAR. Off a bye, IND off a primetime win (fade material), home dog, 87% of public on IND.... thats way to many things to ignore.
