    Furts week 9 Picks
Hey guys, new to the site. Over the past few years I have been very successful in betting on the NFL. I have struggled the last two weeks going 12-14-1 with my overall picks(though I'm ahead in the games I've laid on) but since I have never posted let say I get clean slate 0-0. My picks are as follows:

Cleveland -3 @ St. Louis ---Bulger and Jackson are rushing back and are not healthy... Bigger problem for St Louis is defending Anderson to Edwards/Winslow. I predict they wont

Chicago -5 vs. Detroit ---What Chicago teams shows? Griese has resurrected the offense but the defense struggled until last week. Detroit can be explosive but at Soldier Field I'm going with Da Bears. by the way, Detroit let garcia complete 37-45 passes... ehhh

Indy -6.5 @ Carolina ---Peyton is too tough... and Carolina has QB issues... but this game scares me a bit because historically monday night winners struggle coming off a short week of practice.

NYG -9.5 @ Miami --This isn't a home game for anyone. The game is in England... wtf. Ronnie Brown is down for the year, which is a crushing blow to a winless team... He was the one good thing the fish had going for them. Eli has been playing better, the running game is bruising, and the defense has been playing great.

Oakland +7.5 @ Tennessee --- too many points to give to a Tennessee team who gave up 36 to Houston with a backup quarterback. They won the game but holy sh*t they have to be feeling the effect of that Texan comeback. Not too mention they need Chris Brown back in a bad way, White averages a lowly 3.3 yards/carry... if VY plays he won't be 100%

Minnesota +1 vs. Philly ---two words: Adrian Peterson... if Minny can get him enough carries they will win. I like Minnesota's chances much better with Holcomb coming off the bench. He has a history of putting together some monster games of the bench in Cleveland and Buffalo. But if Minn sticks to the run, they should win at home

Cincinnati +4 vs Pittsburgh --Pitt has struggled on the road. The Bengals have played well at home. They're coming off a big comeback victory and are starting to smell blood in the AFC North. I expect Willie Parker to run on the Bengals but I think they win this one outright none the less

Buffalo +3 @ NYJ --- This is a tough one... Pennington played good against Cinci but he has thrown costly interceptions late in games in 3 of the last 4. Buffalos defense is not bad. The Bills are going with Edwards even though Losman is ready to play. If Edwards struggles you may see Losman in the second half. I think this happens and Losman leads them to a win... or at least keep it close enough

Houston +10 @ S.D --- Hard to predict this one yet... This line is from a few days ago and may change. It looks like the game may be played in SD now... but possibly on Monday. I'm going to take the Texans with the points coming off an impressive 4th quarter. I would be surprised if they won the game though.

    Tampa -3.5 vs. Jacksonville
--- I don't like the ball Grey throws- it sails. And Garcia has this Tampa offense going... a couple mistakes and missed opportunities cost them last Sunday. Garcia completed 37-45 passes. Those are damn good numbers. He hasn't turned the ball over yet and the offense is starting to gain more and more confidence in him.

New Orleans -3 @ San Fran --- Smith may be back but I don't know if it makes a difference. If they can't get Gore going on the ground this is going to be a long day for the 49ers. The Saints are better against the rush than anybody thought theyd be. I think the Saints are gaining confidence and it might be time for them to break out of their shell. You don't put up number like Brees did last year on a fluke. Colston appears healthy.

Washington +17 @ N.E --- The Skins have the best pass defense the Patriots have seen yet. The two TDs to Moss against the fish are picked off by the Skins secondary. If the Redskins can get some pressure on Brady this game will be close. Regardless, I think the ATS streak gets broken. Pats by 10

Green Bay +3 @ Denver --- Farve on Monday night

Wow, the first 4 of your big bets are identical to mine. I don't like taking so many road favourites, but a lot of terrible teams are at home this week.

The only one of your bold picks I'm going the other way on is the NE game. Give me Belichick, Brady, and the Eff-you TD.

yeah, im with you... I don't like all the road favorites I have this week, but I looked at each game under a microscope and I'm confident in most of my picks.

One of the ones I'm least confident is a home fav, the Bears... You don't really know what you're going to get out of them. But the Lions struggle in Chicago.

The Pats streak is bound to end sooner or later... The Redskins have the best defense they've played yet, especially against the pass. I think the Pat will be held under 30 points... only question is, can the Redskins put up some points?

I like your Indy pick alot. This will get a play by me this week. Carolina (maybe a little surprisingly) has the fewest sacks in the NFL. You can't give Peyton Manning time.
