The game is in Chicago. Detroit is terrible on the road. Remember the game in Washington? For some reason they aren't the same team away from home. I'm not surprised to see the Bears as the favs.Comment -

Riding high off Sunday's emotional last second drive in Philadelphia combined with the fact that they are probably getting Nathan Vasher back at starting CB it doesn't suprise me. I would give those points, especially if the line moves to -3.5.Comment -
Staying away from this time, though I can easily see why Chicago is favoured. Griese has strung togeter a couple of not-too-terrible performances, and if Benson can get going as well the Bears may put up some points.Comment -

the first matchup was played indoor on the rug and there were like 42 points scored in the 4th quarter, first 3 quarters it was a tight low scoring game. change of venue and vasher back should slow the lions down offensively, not to mention how much they just stink on the road. i'm not confident enough in the bears offense yet to lay points with them but i definitely see this game going under the early line of 44. they keep the grass thick on soldier field on purpose and this 44 should be a 40 and it would be if it were not for the floodgates opening up in the fourth quarter at detroit in the previous matchup. im all over the under. The right team is favored in this game. I actually thought it would be -6 or -7. I guess you didn't watch the last meeting between these two teams or any of the bears game so far this season. This bears team is something to watch they're averaging 24 points a game since the change at quarterback. The defense has been letting the down of late (the most injured team in the NFL on defense) the good news is they're starting to get healthy. Lions scored 3 points through 3 quarters with Harris, vasher, Tillman, Briggs, Mcgowan, Archuleta all missing that game. That's terrible. Greise turn the ball over three times twice in the redzone and threw one interception for a TD. He still had 300 yards passing in that game and Two TD's. The Bears are now at home with revenge on their mind. Lay the points with bears as this will be thier first blow out victory of the year.Comment -
The Martz offense is only effective on indoor turf. Anyone remember the Rams? They were not very good on grass and cold. This is why the line is in Bears favor. However, it should be -3 not -5. Bears have a hard time getting the lead and scoring easy points.Comment -
I agree with Hemlock. I watched that game and the Bears were in control of it, they just lost it in the 4th quarter. I know I am not super comfortable giving 5 points. I think they will beat the lions, but it is truely a matter of points and how comfortable you are with them. I could see the bears squatting on them for 23-7, but I could also see the bears barely winning 24-21. I am hoping the public bets the line down if I were to bet this one.Comment
