Colts off a bye week at -3. I know the Jags are off to a good start but I don't think they can hang with the Colts.
Skins -7 against Tim Rattay??? Maybe buy 1/2 point to be safe but gotta go with the Skins.

Im taking Rams +9 at Seahawks being out here in Seattle and seeing how they couldnt move the ball and the "12th Man" has left the building. Also with Bulger maybe on the mend or even with Gussy the Seattle secondary is suspect and their ability not to stop the run also hurts them. The rams always play the hawks tough and it seems that the seahawks are still hungover from the Steelers shuting them out

My strong play is Washington -7.
My favorite team to follow all my life is the Arizona Cardinals. This stems back to the St. Louis Cardinal days, and I'd like to think nobody follows them closer than I. With that said, I am convinced that coach Whisenhut can turn this ballclub around, but with his complex offensive package, Tim Rattay or Tim Hasselback is not the answer.
On the other side, I've never believed the addage, "They're gonna be pissed from last week's loss and come out smashmouth this week". Yet, Washington gift-wrapped that game to Green Bay last week. I look for a relentless pass rush that forces Rattay into mistakes all game. It'll be a long afternoon for the Cards and Cards fans alike.

Watch for the Titans to run the ball and have success doing it. THey will control the clock and win this game easily. They will win even if Vince Young does not play. They are just a better coached team. Only chance that Houston has to win this game would involve their talented wide receiver Andre Johnson. He is listed as doubtful and if he does not play, this will end be an easy cover for the Titans. Without him they do not have a chance. If he does play, Johnson has to have a big game. I am not really concerned with Houston's running game as it is struggling to average about 60 yards a game. Even if Johnson has a big game, the Titans will still win the game. They will win with defense and a ball controlled offense. I expect the Titans to be just as effective running the football as did the Jaguars last week against the Texans. The Texans got run over last week as they gave almost 10 yard average per carry. There were a lots of gamblers betting on the Texans last week. And this week those same gamblers will be betting on the Texans. I like to hear some feedback on this game. ANd good luck everyone.

Don't laugh, Falcons +9. Leftwich is in and the Saints D is not any better than the first four weeks of the season. Hawks were having a hangover last week.

Just one pick today and that is Detroit -2.5, gotta love em at home and well rested.
Sorry boys, I couldn't post my plays because I was out of town. It wouldn't have mattered anyways because I went 1-3 with Den +3.5 still pending.

Washington
I don't usually bet the NFL pointspread, but I'll take Washington +16.5 at New England. Washington is not that bad of a team; the spread is large because New England has been blowing out teams, but their strength of opposition (miami, etc.) has not been that strong.

colts vs jaguars
The sportbooks and its oddsmaker are trying to confuse the betting public. The spread is not moving to 3.5 and that is where i feel conforable taking the jaguars plus the points. The Colts are really banged up this week. This will be close game if the colts win or it may be like something like last year if the colts cant stop Jaguars running game. Jaguars running game creates a bad matchup for the colts defense. The colts defense can stop the run on most of the other teams but struggles to stop the Jaguars from running. The Jaguars run the football well and the defense feeds off the running game. The Jaguars are a better football team ever since they released their garbage qb (now with Atlanta) from a year ago and now have given the job to Gerrard who is zero interceptions this year. He does not make mistakes but than he does not put up spectular numbers like Manning or Brady. Gerrard does not need to do much except run the ball control offense. And dont expect the colts to put up big numbers and blow out the jaguars.
