I know the Panthers needed a QB and all, but come on... 43 year old Vinny Testaverde.

Isn't "Testaverde" green balls in Latin?

Did they need someone to run out the clock at the end of the game.

Here's an interesting question, who retires first, Brett Favre or Vinny?

Actually I heard he'll be 44 soon. Also I say more power to him. If you can still get picked up by a team that will pay you to either play, sit on the bench, or just kneel down to run out the clock, then good for him. Whatever there thinking it can't be that bad to suit up and hang around on game day. Also he will have to practice, and stay in shape. Who know maybe he will even get a chance to play.
One thing about the older guy's whether you like testaverde or not. They have experience, and that can go along way even if there not very fast or nimble any more.

Yeah I read an article today talking about how Vinny takes such great care of himself, and he probably does. I know he loves the game and a chance to play, but sooner or later there won't be any teams interested in stringing him along, and that seems like it will be tough on Vinny. Why not just leave with grace after a fine stint in the NFL?

It is a strong statement about the complexity of running an NFL offense......you just can't trust the kids.even the supremely talented ones......Testaverde has seen it all.you won't see 5 interceptions from him....(or 5 TDs for that matter)

Testverde brings a veteran presence to the locker room even if his on field play isnt what it once was -- plus u know he has a stronger arm than most starting quaterback still

That's so true about the 5 and 5. But he might go 3 and 3.

I wish he bloody had I played a big play in game on the Cards as they are:
- Good at home
- Carliona where playing vinny
- only reason at the tiime it was close was because of TOs
Vinny the Bastrad had a great 2nd half and the play calling from the cards stunk. Why to Warner leave the game I ask?

Two weeks ago Arizona could confuse opposing teams with a two quarterback scheme. Now both are injured; one out for the season, and Warner out with an elbow injury early in the game. Without them the Cardinals had no chance. Had nothing to do with Testaverde. Cardinals offense was never in the game.
