    Arizona +1 vs St Louis
There is no such thing as a lock, but this game is about 85% on my confidence meter.
    Arizona wins outright.
They have no offensive line. No Running Game. Bulger looks really hurt and left the game. Their defense sucks. Wesley Walls was exposed for being a crappy cover corner

    edit: Line Change: Arizona -3.5

    where are you seeing +1?

I see AZ -2 at legendz and -1 -125 at pinnacle.

Winless teams are actually pretty good bets as underdogs -- though that angle works best starting in week 6.

    The #'s are:

Winless teams that are 0-5 or worse are 73-34-1 ATS as underdogs since 1985.

I will have to check on the #'s at 0-4.

Hard to take AZ on the road against anyone. Don't be fooled by one good win. Their offensive line still suks. I've seen the Cards here in AZ act like this every year. You get hyped up and then BAM! Back to reality.

I'm still undecided on this game myself Razz.

The Rams have announced today that Bulger will play this weekend too. Now weather or not that helps or hurts them at this point of the season is still yet to be determined. However, don't be surprised at all if we see good ole Gus seems to some time in this game either, because reports coming out of Rams camp today is that Linnehand is considering making a QB change if things don't improve.

Btw it was Lenny Walls (not Wesley). And yeah he sucks (used to play for the Broncos)...

I like Kurt Warner in his former home. Though Frerotte is a wildcard as he might light it up if he sees playing time (another former Bronco that is actually a pretty good QB, unlike Griese).

Guys I watched Dallas v Rams and everyone just gets over the top about that Dallas Off but lets be honest 3 things happened which sum up the Rams D:

                (1) Romo bad snap the ball goes over his head and he runs back fumbles, picks up the ball and then turns and runs 30 yards for a 4 yard gain. this was just f**king awful D.

                (2) Romo goes back looks, looks, looks and then just runs 20 yards down the middle for the TD. No Ram in sight.

                (3) Patrick Crayton has a huge game by out running the corner back. And he isn't quick.

                On off:

                (1) Bulger is injuried and really shouldn't be playing

                (2) Holt is not 100% due to leg and bruce is getting too old.

                (3) jackson is out and Leonard is very average and just a down hill runner

                (4) the off line is so injuried you have no chance of the big plays which the Rams need at the mo.

If things don't improve they can go 0-16. It really is possible for them.

Back the Cards as they have enough to win this by 14

Rams #1 play? Yikes! Many other choices in week 5 to make this a first pick.

Arizona has a better Offense all around at the moment. More yards on the ground and in the air. Stl gives up over 150 y/g on the ground. Expect a healthy dose of E. James. The AZ O-line protects well. The STL O-line has some big issues.

Cons that I see is that it is an away game for AZ and they don't have the best pass D. However neither does STL.

Not sure if I'll bet AZ straight but absolutely will involve them in a teaser.

Can't include last weeks game? Absolutely include last weeks game. Anything to get an edge. If a team has a real bad Rush defense over the last 3 games chances are that this week, guess what, they have a bad rush defense. Stats give you an edge to bet with. They don't always work but nothing always works in gambling.

Using stats from last year I would consider out of date but not last week.

The Cardinals look good on paper this week. I will use them in a teaser. If you don't like the Stats angle then don't post and move along to the next thread.

I didnt even factor the fact that Arizona beat Pittsburgh last week. Im simply looking at how St Louis has played the past 4 games. No offensive line, Hurt QB, no running game, Shaky Defense. Its really not a good team right now.
Arizona really doesnt look like a bad team, certainly much better than St Louis.

I ran the #'s and teams that are 0-4 SU are 28-22-3 ATS as underdogs since 1985. Home dogs going 11-4-1 ATS.

Those #'s aren't nearly as good as the 0-5 or worse #'s, but I'm still looking hard at St. Louis for a play.
